Repairs will run me around 500, if I don't replace the saddle bag that got destroyed. Unfortunately those bags are about 500 each, so if I replaced that also it's more like 1k. Probably a little more if I wanted the bike to look absolutely perfect.

I have a 95 Del sol SI... I needyou a roof rack. Do you have model#??? I need to get a slim cargo carrier up thereis for snowboards and some gear to keep the inside and trunk free for travel bags for 2 day snowboard trips to Mount Snow in Vermont, Any help appreciated.

The roof rack was not designed for the del sol. I just bought a random Yakima rack with Q clips and adjusted them to fit

I used an HRG lift kit. It's decent but rather expensive for what is basically just a spacer lift.

I've owned a few supersports, a few hypernakeds (currently on one), some 2-strokes, and some mid-range standards. I think I'm on my 13th. I've enjoyed all of them but they were all quite new when I bought them, not some clapped-out sportbike that have been wrecked which brings a whole host of headaches. The several times I haven't been able to afford a motorcycle I've simply bought some sort of eScooter. I personally have owned naked or hypernakeds since 2003; I reckon when insurance for a supersport is 2000 per year, then that's a good indication not to own one.

My insurance on this bike was 700 a year. But that was still like double what most of my other bikes cost. I didn't mention this in my video but, it also got worse gas milage and was much harder to wheelie then the Versys I had before it. That's not even a hyper naked, just a boring ass Adv bike.

Should've kept the FZ1! wth. They're still formidable bikes. The FZ6 is also a riot these days and more comfy with a custom seat mod. The sport nakeds are nice. Half faired is the way to go imo. Put on a good windscreen and maybe some luggage and that sounds like your cup of tea. I'm there too. Or I guess a new Goldwing would suffice. I haven't been down that avenue yet and they're pretty sweet.

I definitely miss the FZ1. I sold it because the motor was giving up. But yeah I'd love to buy another one someday. Great bike.

Bro, I can tell you that this specific zx6r 05-06 and 07-08 is one of the worst years motorcycles to get. You should have gone with a Honda or Suzuki from that year if so be the case. 07 cbr600rr is smooth and easier to ride and very light and not as uncomfortable as that Kawasaki. But like you said you need to stick to hyper naked because that's where you ride history is at and kind of too late for you to switch now because of all the muscle memory you have from owning those bikes. Now if you had started on SuperSport then you'd be so use to it that majority of the seating position and handling you mentioned would be insignificant. I'm glad you got to experience it though and see that it's not for you.

I'm aware that the 07-08 gen isn't the most desirable. I guess you missed the part where I said, this was all I could afford. I've ridden cbr600rrs and R6s. To me they are all the same.

@JamesBrown-vt9kr Like i said in the video. And in my previous comments. I started on dirt bikes when I was 12. Switched to street when I was 17. I have ridden every single kind of motorcycle- alot. I simply hate sportbikes. Its my opinion they suck. If that isn't your opinion, then make your own video and explain why. But I didn't ask.

Great video and great advice for new riders. I will admit though newer 600's especially the zx6r are in my opinion easier to ride due to the addition of electronic aids and additional torque in the mid range which is nice for the street. But these are dangerous bikes. There's a reason so many KZbinrs will have a video where they're excited to get a brand new ZX6R then a couple months later there's a crash video.

@@adventurevehiculist What about repairing the truck so it will pass emissions so you can register it so you can drive it. It's still worth driving. Now that you have taken it apart, it will not pass emissions, it will not register and now you can't drive it. Unless you will sell it for spare parts or are the parts for another truck?

@ericmadsen7470 I'm selling the parts. There is no repairing it to pass emissions. Emissions tests are very strict here and this truck had 300k miles.

I’ve had only bad experiences with HRG. On a riser they couldn’t fill because they were out of stock. They didn’t say anything though. I had to call and find out. The second is a lift kit that was missing half of it. They have been dodging me and not responding. I’ve found others that have had the same issue. Horrible customer service.

You’re supposed to loosen all your control arm joints after you’ve installed the kit and tighten them back down once the car is on the ground, all your bushings are still torqued 2” lower. Should be no added extra pressure to the suspension when this is done. Also if you raise or lower the car even 1/4” you need an alignment your toe is no longer straight. Sounds like most if not all of the cons of this product are user error.

I agree, a lot sounds like user error and common sense things to do when you alter geometry. And the way the OP responded, getting defensive and snippy instead of being understanding and taking some responsibility instead of deflecting makes me disregard the negative points in the whole video 🤣

Congrats on the bike, I got my 2020 for $6500 with a couple after market parts, including a yoshimura exhaust. My bike only had 4100 miles. Didn't want to pay almost $11k for a new one, which is what would cost in the bay area california with the stupid taxes and fees. But I also plan on buying an MT09 in the future, so didn't make sense to buy a brand new MT07 to then sell it and buy a new MT09.

I haven't kept exact numbers yet. It should get exactly the same mpg when cruising because the sc isn't doing anything. If course of your spending alot of time in boost that is gonna change. It also takes premium only. It's definitely not cheap on fuel, but it's all about the smiles per gallon.
