If you don’t mind not having a locking cap, then just use side cutters and snip the ring, then remove the little pin and spring. Simple and cheap fix. Just did it

Please change the title of your video, its extremely misleading. The Doon Valley Railway is not abandoned, its a charity railway that is run by a very small group of volunteers. They are focusing their time on repairing and restoring the operational and near-operational locos and coaching stock to ensure any visitors to the site can enjoy a ride. The wagons and the small minority of withdrawn locomotives are parked out of the way, awaiting their turn in the workshop. Your use of 'abandoned' may give people the wrong impression and put the public off attending this fantastic railway, operated by dedicated volunteers.

Andy Roy photography, the pivot for the back lever is sticking causing my back brake to stay on. If I loosen the bolt it becomes free, and springs back. Is the bolt meant to be loose or does the lever move on bearings?

@@iam_mono1892 hi the pivot pin witch the rear brake foot pedel runs on sound be tight and secure witch the bearings running free. is it possible for you to remove the bearings and ensure / inspect there running free and not seized

Andy Roy photography spot on thank you, stripped all down and it seems whatever BMW use hardens and cause the pedal to seize. Stripped, cleaned it and copper greased and all seems as new, to be fair probably better. Thanks again

I found it easier to Jack the van up slide the engine under then drop the van to the deck. You then can lift the engine and get the correct angle for it to slide in easy.
