What’s the timing marks on the balancer and cams for cylinder 1 and 4 TDC
@balduberdriver2 ай бұрын
Incomplete video, you need to put the timing chain back,might as well made a part 2 vid and post the link in the comments as most people do.As an instruction video this is not useful, we all know how to tear things apart.

Got to do headgasket on my recently purchased Swift and this video is super helpful. Don't suppose there's any chance you'd be able to upload the workshop manual somewhere if you've still got it?
I’ve found that the easiest way is to use beanbag means you can get for cheap online as they don’t really compress that much and use a bucket to measure out the volume you need. Once you have the complex backboard complete, you can pour in the beans and then place your speaker ring with sub installed in it to compensate for the volume the cone and magnet take up and then use tape or fabric to cover over the beans and you can then lay your top fabric in place.

Can I replace the head gasket without removing the timing belt cover
@joshb14347 ай бұрын
No. You need the timing chain off to get the cam shafts out to remove the head

Question for ya, if you're still up for answering them five years on making this vid! I'm struggling with removing the two top bolts that hold the AC compressor onto it's mounting plate, since the AC lines are directly in the way making removal appear impossible, yet you managed to do it. Did you remove the AC lines and vent the gas to atmosphere or is there some other trick?
@joshb14349 ай бұрын
I didnt vent the ac, the pipes were left on it, i do remember it being tricky but the pipes will bend and flex a little

@@joshb1434I have all of the easy bolts out. Looking down on the pump from the top, the left bolt is ‘captivated’ by one of the lines if you don’t remove it first. What’s compounding my issue at the moment is I’ve ’misplaced’ my 12mm spanner and can’t get in with my smallest socket/ratchet. So after 15 minutes of swearing and pulling my workshop apart I’ve relented and ordered another ratchet spanner from Amazon for delivery by 10 tonight🤣
