Your comment is exactly right, i cant show u that in the rules, just as you cant show me what the coach has to say to meet the 1 min requirement. It does not exist.

@@TheDukerino And again, you can argue for the system to change, you CANT argue for a gymnast to be treated differently. The rules state that the coach can send an inquiry on DIFFICULTY. When Cecile mentions the difficulty saying 59, she’s TOO LATE.

This video is too late. It's new evidence. If she's allowed new evidence then everyone should be. They need to judge all 3 routines over and come up with the winner. It won't be Jordan because she nearly put her hands down on one of her passes and had a huge deduction on her first pass. Change the rules, then everyone gets a shot to prove they deserved the medal.

The video isn't clear when the exact second the score was posted. Is it posted technically a second before on the board? You had the crowd before Jordan's reaction and dispalyerd by NBC so if you think about the time the crowd had and reading comprehension time (then do they also count the time they came to teh score and the seconds it takes to display it?). Then yes they are saying inquiry for Jordan several times but the first time it seems she might not be in hearing range, the second time she most likely is and that is when someone asked what she was saying and repeats a 3rd time which is appears close enough now but at that time may have been out of time (but again the clock count down isn't clear in the video - or probably anywhere based on how this was ran). Just because something is said doesn't make it valid until it is clearly heard. The clock looks like it could start between 31:50-54 just based on crowd reaction and time to read and recognize, but did the time start a second or two even sooner then that even... who knows. There are people saying she was saying it to eh wrong person the first time, but they just finished trying to put an inquiry so I'm pretty sure they knew who to go to?

The crowd roar is at 0:07-0:08 seconds of the video. They are at the table asking for an inquiry at 1:04.

Jordan is the superior gymnast of the 3 girls in question. That's a fact. It's also a fact that Jordan's routine was scored correctly the first time. Her Gogean leap was under-rotated and was correctly not credited. That leap hadn't been credited in any of her other routines. They had inquired her difficulty value in those routines too, and this is the only one accepted. Her petition shouldn't have been approved at all and she should never have been put in this position. It's also a fact that Ana Barbosu had a cleaner routine on that day than Jordan. Jordan flubbed two of three landings pretty noticeably and under-rotated that leap, and her wolf turn. Even though the quality of Jordan's gymnastics is better, Ana's routine was cleaner. *_It's also a fact that Sabrina Voinea was actually the one robbed because the judges took a deduction for something that they mistakenly thought happened, that did not actually happen. if we really want to correct judging errors, it shouldn't just be Jordan's._*
@battlehymnoftheempath361013 күн бұрын
Everything you write is true. If Chiles did the same routine she did in the team final, she would be the winner of the bronze medal.
@Dan-lu4rw11 күн бұрын
But judges did approve Jordan's appeal because she performed her leap better than previously. You also forgot to mention that it's a fact that Sabrina's coach submitted the wrong inquiry for difficulty instead of out of bounds. Judges are human so they will make mistakes as in all sports. Sports is ultimately about following rules and procedure. And if this video is truth, then the medal absolutely should be Jordan's.
@battlehymnoftheempath361011 күн бұрын
@Dan-lu4rw I have been watching gymnastics since the 90s. This is the first time that I can remember that a gymnast got an OOB penalty when she had perfect sight of the corner. Why would a judge assume she stepped out when she saw where the boundary was ? OOB is usual given when a gymnast loses balance out of a tumbling pass. Also, Voineas routine was almost the same in the EF as it was in team final. Yet, the judges did not award her 6.0 as they did in the team competition. That would have gotten her the bronze as well. In any case, Sabrina is the winner on merit because sports is about fair judging. Otherwise, coaches are expected to be judges as well, and figure out the fine details of why their athlete was scored lower.

I have problems understanding what they say in French. I hear a 59, I hear a zero, I hear vous ne m’avez pas donné I don’t think that is the person she was supposed to inquire to, and she’s asking where to send an inquiry for Jordan I think. Someone native in French maybe understands better what they discuss about
@leykimayri15 күн бұрын
Ok I got a bit better, she says something you gave me “…not complete” and then Cecile says 59!in French which I assume is the supposedly 5.9 D-score that Jordan has so it looks late if the verbal inquiry needs to be COMPLETE because she only mentions the D-score but not the element for which she sends the inquiry.
@leykimayri15 күн бұрын
I got another part “il faut nous donner la note de depart en fait” and Cecile answers 59. In French that probably means you have to give us the score for which you’re inquiring (free translation), hasn’t she ever sent an inquiry internationally in her career to know that people aren’t familiar with the names of American gymnasts outside the US and she needs to give the score for which she’s inquiring? She really fucked Jordan,!no wonder why Jordan got her own lawyers distancing herself from USAG….

@@OoOMonkeyCoFreakOoO Literally the judge is NOT obliged to know the first names of the gymnasts, not even their last names by heart. Especially when it’s in a FOREIGN language and they may have problems memorising names they aren’t familiar with. Tell me you don’t have any difficulty memorising French names? Greek names? Chinese names? Hence why you ask for THE SCORE and the ELEMENT for which you think your gymnast was underscored, you don’t yell name in the open. In addition that person was NOT a FIG Brevet judge, it was a person working there in the technical committee native FRENCH receiving the inquiries. Again the technical FIC regulation is clear about it, verbal inquiries are accepted but you MUST DECLARE THE REASON for the inquiry. A random first name is NOT a reason. Same thing happened with Simone, they tried to send an inquiry and it wasn’t sent because they didn’t declare the score. If you hear the conversation in French this is what they say, and Cecile says fifty nine indicating the 5.9 D-score for Jordan that she supposedly should have had, and the 7.0 D-score for Simone that she also supposedly should have had. Both inquiries were LATE, when Cecile mentioned THE REASON for the inquiry it was WAY BEYOND the 1 minute time she had available by THE RULES.
