I bake a lot of pies and I find a metal pan to give the best results for double crust pies. Much less likely to get a soggy bottom

I have 14 Corning Ware pie pans. White with the blue cornflower in the middle. It's the only pan my mom ever used and all I use. And I make a killer pie!

For a bread knife, neither a full tang nor a forged blade is necessary. A wegdy blade with thick spine makes a knife an inferior slicer.

This is true but if you can afford it why not have the best. A fine knife is a thing of beauty

Help me develop one of these that can be adjusted for any size bagel, and we will become rich! My bane is cutting English muffins evenly. So there should be a way to squeeze the sides, and keep the slit centered.

Love the large deep bowl as they can be a challenge to find. Helps avoid spillage when tossing, mixing, etc.

This is all very well but the Annie Sloan advert for the product talks about being able to hold onto paint without it running off and being able to charge a roller "Made from a silicone-like material, the MixMat holds paint on its surface without the paint running off and can be used for colour mixing, charging rollers, stamping, and just about any other use you can think of!" So I am wondering exactly how much paint it could hold before a lot is too much. Most people who know the basics of mixing colours to get another colour don't really need the colour wheel guide on the mat. Is this mat any better than any other silicone mat. Annie Sloan brand is not the only silicone mat available for those interested in crafts. there is FolkArt ®for example.

What do you think of the kitchen dynamos? I really want many of those for the kitchen to wash dishes and also wipe down the kitchen and dining table, however people say they stay too wet and have to be dry wiped after.?

My 13 yr old was coming down with a cold and cough and I tried a mustard poultice. He slept thro the night without coughing once! Thanks! I sell mustard seed baby pillows - an Indian tradition that prevents and remedies flat spots in infants. One of the reason mustard seeds are used(other than coz they are so tiny and make the pillow so pliable) is that it is supposed to help with congestion....I didn't connect the dots till yesterday. Maybe sleeping on the mustard seed pillow releases tiny doses of the spice? Anyway, thank you for sharing your remedies with us!
