If you notice at 16:05 and 16:15, even the Wii and Nintendo Switch render the Electro Dash waves incorrectly. The waves are supposed to have a green tint when not overlaid on another wave, and yellow when it is. Wii and Nintendo Switch incorrectly render it all yellow. Wii U renders it incorrectly the other way, it is green all the way with no yellow.

something I realized after comparing the two by emulation that this video didn't catch is that Goron Links textures are darker on Wii VC for some reason, I'd link to a comparison but KZbin auto deletes comments with links unfortunately. It's also not the case for GC. I'm not even sure how this could happen, seems less like an emulation error and more like Nintendo purposefully darkened them for some reason It's really weird how the Wii VC was regarded as the best official way to play the game aside from finding an n64 for a long time, despite the emulation inaccuracies littered all over the place. the Wii U VC emulated MM objectively better, but the issue with that is the Wii U VC service itself was awful compared to Wii's

Very good comparison, I never would have thought there would be so many weird quirks about the ports of this game. I'm wondering if it's something to do with retro gaming or if it's at all similar to 343 porting the Original Halo games to Xbox via the Master Chief Collection and those titles having various quirks and bugs
