Great work Brian. Those lamps are really neat. Would like to see your collection someday. What tool are you using for the hollowing ? Seems as though it would need to be short in order to get into the shade that deep ? Very entertaining channel.

Thanks alot Rick. Just an old man having fun. I was doing my hollowing with a carbide round cutter. I bought a carbide hollowing tool with a Swan neck a couple of months ago and really like it. I'm still ot very good, self taught so I know I'm not doing things very efficiently but I keep getting better. I started taping my progress when my son told me I should. Been alot of fun. I have cancer and this is the best therapy ever.

Found you through your Barracuda 2 unboxing (about to buy one myself - how do you like it two months later?); I'm no expert, but I think it may wobble less if you get a little closer to actual center (I regularly eyeball like you do, but on something that big, a little but introduces a lot of imbalance until you turn it round. Love the energy, keep making the videos :-) -Don in AZ

Thanks. My Barracuda is my go to chuck, then my Nova 3 and last and least favorite, my WEN. I've only been turning a year and still learning. I'm still having trouble finding center on the irregular logs. Getting close but as you said a little can throw it way off.

Thanks Tam. You and Mark are the awesome ones. All that wood made me a very happy and lucky man. It was soooo much appreciated. I just started using the lathe a year ago so not an expert yet. I am getting old and have cancer, working with the wood is therapy for me. So I guess you and Mark are my therapists😂 Happy New Year and again thank you.
