The last stand ending is wrong, The island that they talked about going to is actually in the distance of the last stand so that is the uncanon ending for L4D1 because bill would never die and the left 4 dead 2 survivors would never meet the left 4 dead 1 survivors in the passing.

My brother please just say it as "Left For Dead" annunciating the 4 as it's number sound is way too much. Edit: Also, the survivors didn't "fight back" at the base, the base started to become overrun. I think it was Louis and Francis who helped two guards not die to a Witch by telling them to stay quiet and get against a wall. After the Witch leaves, the guards let them out and bring Louis and Francis to an armory. Bill and Zoey find them in said armory and with our 4 survivors and the two guards, they leave the base, fighting their way out. As Our group boards a train, the two guards decide to go their own way. Louis later gets his injury from a boat full of Witches. Throw me to a boat full of Witches and I'll come back a father, on god.

It would be neat if the Slater family being the cowards they are, didn't pick them up from the death toll ending. Telling them to find a different spot to call them in for rescue, then the survivors would find a truck and head towards the last stand campaign.
