your voice is excruciatingly annoying, so inauthentic and plastic sounding

Hi mate, You know someone who is a Podcaster? You see... I`m taking my skills in a new direction and planning to help someone fascinate their KZbin Shorts and Instagram Reels videos and retain audience up to the end of the videos. So I was wondering if you know someone who could use my help just like I did to Café Con Podcast and Fast Break Podcast. Thank you have a good day!

One thing to consider is listener fatigue. This voice is too high-energy to listen to for longer than 30 seconds. Pick a smoother, calmer voice and you'll have something listenable.
@Podcastperformancecoach Жыл бұрын
You might be right. But even then, it may be hard to listen to for more than 5 or 10 minutes. I'm seeing (and hearing) more people try it with specialty content like recapping of books repurposed as podcasts. I still have a limit of what I can handle. AI still has a long way to go before I don't notice it's a machine. (Don't tell them I said that - LOL!!!)

You are already irrelevant, and you think AI couldn't take over ur job? I would rather watch an AI video or podcast then whatever you are doing.
@StateoftheFranchiseGaming Жыл бұрын
Absolutely AI isn't liked when people call customer service so I doubt anyone would wanna listen to robots for more than a minute
@Podcastperformancecoach Жыл бұрын
Agreed. I think our default now is to get instantly annoyed. I've been playing more with AI voice tools and the more I hear them the more I hate them. BARF! 😒 But wait for it, many will try to create entire podcasts or series using only AI. Only to be let down by the results. They have a long way to go. I think us humans are safe.

Love this! And yes! I think there is such huge power in starting your own podcast! But I ALSO think that doing interviews on OTHER people's podcasts can get you even bigger results! Think about it...big exposure, brand building, credibility by being interviewed by another thought leader/influencer. It's the fastest path to building your authority! Thank you for sharing!
@Podcastperformancecoach3 жыл бұрын
Totally agree Kasey. That is an extremely effective way to GROW a podcast too. More exposure to like minded people in your niche. If you deliver the goods on other podcasts, people will come over to your to hear more. That's why having a strategy in place when reaching out to other hosts is so important.

I can't believe this actually works, I hear every talk radio tell a story to sell a product, it discussed me think I would believe the story it's all made up even if true I think it's a fake story. Like PT Barnum said sucker is born every minute.
@twohlberg4 жыл бұрын
True. A great story doesn't have to be true to make a point or garner an emotional reaction. Thanks for the comment Lj!

Ok this episode was made in 2016 and I just found these great tips in 2020! I am still going through your tips but is there any video on How non-Native English speakers can improve their podcast in English? Sometimes I struggle with pronunciation and trying to explain and Idea when English is not my first language. Thanks!
@Podcastperformancecoach4 жыл бұрын
Listen to journalists. Listen to BBC radio. Listen to NPR radio. Listen to CBC radio (in Canada, where I am). Practice! Read everything you can get your hands on out loud to anyone who will listen. If you've got English speaking friends, record yourself reading something on your phone and send them an .mp3 or send them your podcast if it's in English. Ask for feedback, one word at at time. Sorry bro. There is no magic pill for this. This comes with time Alejandro. You'll get there. There are a lot of FREE English speaking podcasts that can help too I'm sure!

Hello, I am searching to find help with my podcast, I’ve got a lot of reading, a lot of studying and I understand a lot about the dynamics, my issue is however, setting it up in a way that it’s cost-effective that can help me gain sponsorships patrons and other things and also represent the disability community, people with special needs, people who are struggling with mentally physically cognitively and sensory challenges like myself, I am an older woman, I have attended two masters degree programs in clinical psychology, I am a disability advocate, I am an educator, and my message is about “loving the skin you were born in warts and all “and that it’s OK to be a square peg in around hole, and helping people with challenges to go forward not just by dreaming or hopes, but through action. I don’t have a ton of money to invest, but if I could come up with a plan that works physically and financially and also people to help me display my Podcasts and distribute them for a to the various platforms or directories also finding a way to either affiliate market or represent others at the disability community who have products and services to sell or to offer it would really help so many people. I’m a little bit desperate, I do have some podcast recorded on something called a victor stream unit which the blind use, but I don’t know how to edit myself, how to distribute, and some of the other things that go along with the physical stuff, would appreciate it if you contacted me, thank you and blessings my Facebook page is: Renee Radicioni Pavlus and my email is first name dot last [email protected], thank you
