Pretty shocking quality but, amazingly it doesn't seem to matter, usually..

Thank you uploader suzisuzanna this is greatly appreciated - including the other 23 songs in this 2005 cd of Joy Division Let The Movie Begin. Unfortunately after conducting a little research on the precise order of the songs and interviews I discovered there is discrepancy everywhere. So after I conducted several hours of research I will now list the order of songs according to the Joy Division Central website [surely the most reputable] and it states 'Sleeve track listing is incorrect. The one above [below as listed] is. According to the cover the 7th track is Novelty, but it's in fact No Love Lost. Track 9; At A Later Date (New Dawn Fades according to the cover) and track 19; New Dawn Fades (cover says At A Later Date ) seem to have traded places.: Here from their website is the 26 songs and interviews in the correct order with venue and date: #01 Love Will Tear Us Apart - Pennine studio version January 8th 1980 #02 Ian Curtis interview excerpt - Castle Pub '79 Part 1 #03 Leaders Of Men - RCA session May 1978 #04 Steve Morris & Ian Curtis interview - Castle Pub '79 Part 2 #05 Failures - RCA session May 1978 #06 Ian Curtis interview excerpt - Rock On, Radio 1 '79 #07 No Love Lost - RCA session May 1978 #08 Martin Hannett interview with Ian Curtis excerpt - Rock On, Radio 1 '79 #09 At A Later Date - Warsaw demo July 18th 1977 #10 Ian Curtis interview excerpt - Castle Pub '79 #11 Ice Age - RCA session May 1978 #12 Ian Curtis / Steven Morris interview excerpt - Rock On, Radio 1 '79 #13 Shadowplay - RCA session May 1978 #14 Ian Curtis interview - Radio Blackburn '80 #15 Passover - live Amsterdam, Paradiso 11th January 1980 #16 Martin Hannett interview, Rock On, Radio 1 '79 #17 Transmission - RCA session May 1978 #18 Steve Morris / Ian Curtis interview excerpt - Rock On, Radio 1 '79 #19 New Dawn Fades - live Amsterdam, Paradiso 11th January 1980 #20 Ian Curtis interview excerpt - Radio Blackburn '80 #21 Digital - live Eindhoven, Effenaar 18th January 1980 #22 Bernard Sumner comment about Martin Hannett - presumably an excerpt from a radio or TV documentary #23 Colony - live Eindhoven, Effenaar 18th January 1980 #24 Ian Curtis interview - Radio Blackburn '80 #25 Autosuggestion - live Eindhoven, Effenaar 18th January 1980 "Well..." + pistol shot - Martin Hannett firing a gun as seen in the New Order "Play At Home" C4 TV documentary from 1984 #26 Dead Souls - live Eindhoven, Effenaar 18th January 1980 [ref] Here's some of the websites I have researched: www.amazon.com.au/Let-Movie-Begin-Joy-Division/dp/B000BYCAUS www.joydiv.org/L18.htm www.discogs.com/release/1215050-Joy-Division-Let-The-Movie-Begin www.justfortherecord.co.nz/albums/joy-division-let-the-movie-begin-cream-vinyl/ www.allmusic.com/album/let-the-movie-begin-mw0000783428 www.mightyape.co.nz/product/let-the-movie-begin-cd/38575936 open.spotify.com/album/2EnxUlydpKfOqpCgrAekUM greenhell.de/Joy-Division-Let-the-Movie-Begin_1 [great site for info] www.deejay.de/JOY_DIVISION_LET_THE_MOVIE_BEGIN_LP_2x12_OZITLPC8795_Vinyl__1020608 www.towerrecords.ie/product/JOYDIVISION_LETTHEMOVIEBEGIN[CREAMVINYL]/926481

I looked it up and you are right. What ive read, the largest venue they had was 1,200 people listening in. They almost didnt care about how many people showed up, but they still gave it some of their best

Wow, this sounds awesome, at first I couldn't believe that it was Ian Curtis singing. This sound was revolutionary for the 70s. The distortion on the guitar, the heavy base line of Peter Hook, Morris is a drum-machine, the synths on the background..out of this world! Check also the cover version of The Horrors, they take the distortion to the next level kzbin.info/www/bejne/e4Kmg52Lq7ismKc
