At 10:18, Henry Ford did not build the bowling pin factory. He bought the bowling pin factory and transformed it to manufacture wood panels for Ford automobiles ("woody wagons") in 1943.

I grew up in the Sault area and have been to almost every place mentioned, sometimes hundreds of times. It's as fantastic as the video says it is.

My grandfather Took us to this restaurant back in the 70’s. My mother was never so embarrassed….She looked at the bill and thought. “I would have taken the money”. YOUR SON ALWAYS SPWNDS HIS TIME AT A BAR ON A BARSTOOL …

The owner of the Delaware Mine Tom Poynter sadly passed away in September of 2023 at 77 years old but his daughter and husband bought the mine and will continue on the family tradition of keeping the mine tours going.

Wow. I’m not sure why such negative comments. This is a great channel! This is a great video. Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge of Michigan to us. I’m from California and am unable to travel. But my body craves places like these. And you know, people believe that these places aren’t “worth the trip” zones, cause the views it has or the trails aren’t the flipping Grand Canyon or something. But by all means it’s amazing to see you say that you are hiking on one of the Great Lakes! So beautiful. Would love to be there right now. And must I say it’s also about the people. A lot of nature and parks may look “similar” but the people we find are certainly unique.

Wow!!! I'm moving this summer to just north of that whole area , building a small cabin . I fish, hunt, kayak/canoe and road and Mountain bike. Been to Michigan 4 times (but lower P) . The peace and serenity of that river and the lake was just mind blowing. And camping everywhere? Amazing. Thanks for this.
