I always wanted to drop a boat in there. Nice work

I have an Outcast Stealth Pro and several float tubes. With the higher seat on the Clearwater, how does it compare using fins when you want to put the oars down in slower currents or on a lake in some wind? Seems like it would be a little high off the water to comfortably rely on fin control.
@mrandmrscannondale8 ай бұрын
Actually kicks pretty well! Well enough to keep the boat pointed where you want on rivers. If it starts getting radical I pull my feet out of the water and grab the oars. I feel like it kicks better than a float tube on still water because here is less of me in the water which cuts down drag.

Nice fish. I watched the video because I am considering the outcast clearwater vs watermaster. How does that taller seat work, and any comments on how the boat has worked out for you. Looks like the kick fins work well floating the river. Not to deep in the water to hang your feet up. Steve from Yakima.

I own an NRS slipstream and a stealthcraft big horn skiff. My Clearwater is my favorite to fish! Lite weight and very stable. I upgraded to KBO oars and I would 100% suggest the upgrade.

How is it hopping back on the taller seat? Especially if you standing in knee to mid thigh water. Boat looks great other wise.
@MrTenkara7 ай бұрын
I'm wondering the same thing Especially important if you are wearing waders, got to be able to get back up into that seat

I don’t stand in the water a whole lot. Most of the rivers I have floated are very small. If I’m fishing a bigger river I use my drift boat or raft.

Are you satisfied with the durability of the raft material? I was hoping it was 2000 denier not 1000. Has it held up well for you? Great video!!

Had my first issue in 230 floats. Ripped it on a screw in my truck bead canopy. $200 for a new bladder and good as new. 100% user error!

Seeing how you fish in such shallow waters (not to mention the hassle of having to retrieve the boat at the end), would you not be better off if you just waded?

Jeremy Thanks for sharing your video. Have you ever tried using the OSG oar holders that strap on the side of the raft. I have a pair and they work great. It allows you to keep the front of your raft clean. I have a ClearWater and love it. It is the Fat Man's Cadillac on the river. Cheers
@mrandmrscannondale2 жыл бұрын
I have them also. I feel like the oars grab the water and it is harder to maneuver with fins. I use them more on bigger slower water, they also add stability.
@tomtrudgeon41052 жыл бұрын
Thank you for this video. Greatly appreciated. This makes Stillwater fishing with the raft very doable. But would you say it’s still preferable to do a regular tube?

Did you consider any other options on the market (WaterMaster, et cetera) before selecting that Outcast model?
@mrandmrscannondale2 жыл бұрын
I was looking at all the options, including the Maxxon at a reasonable price. I think I made the right choice. Can’t imagine a better option.

Man I need to know more about this raft. How would it work in heavier water, where I’d be going only has one rapid that is class 2+ depending on flow? How’s the stability? How’s the strength for really cranking down on the oars?
@mrandmrscannondale2 жыл бұрын
I would have zero concerns for any of your questions. This spring I was floating the same river double the flow. Super stable and I have bounced off rocks.

This was a trail system my wife and I build near Naches, Wa. We had about 10 miles of trail in the system. My wife and I were the only cycles that had permission on the land. We took several of our friends on rides on this system back in the day. Seems like a long time ago! These trails were a dream….

My wife and I both have them and they are amazing! We also have fishcats with no oars. The oars work well and don't add very little weight. I will make another video with features (more of a year long review). Thanks for the feedback!
