Never mind, If you have any other doubts you may ask, we are like family. I am always there for you all people. By the way just for knowledge I am saying, that if you increases the Ah of the battery i.e ampere (A) then it is not going to damage your system/amplifier by any means instead the backup of sound playback will get increased means you will get good battery backup. In simple words the more the Ah (i e. Ampere) will, the more backup you are going to get but it applies only in the case of batteries. So, if you will connect Adapter or SMPS in place of battery then more Amps will simply just enhance the audio quality or say the speakers/drivers will get ample amount of current to throw the exact rated output RMS but it is applicable only at certain limits like minimum current (A) required for better sound output is 1Amp and max is 2A to 2.5A (only for this amplifier board). If you will apply huge current like 5Amp or more than that, then sound IC will get heat-up and may get blow later. So, you can connect battery of 200A also without an issue. I hope, now you got the exact logic hidden behind the application of it.

First you check that your board contains on-board rectifier circuit or not. If yes then check the diode serial no. and current rating and according to that you can decide which kind of transformer you have to use or which could be handled by the board without blowing up the circuit (commonly most of the board has 1N5408 diode which is a 3 Amp diode so you can use transformer upto 3 Amp also if you use high amperage transformer then it will not going to harm your board instead the diode on the board will allow only that amount of current for which it has been made for, suppose you apply a 4 amp current to the diode of 3Amp then the diode will pass only 3Amp and the rest 1Amp will be resisted or dissipated in the form of heat. So applying more and more current will surely not going to boost your sound quality rather it will blow up your diode if the applied current is high and used for a long time and yes it will only happen due to high heat dissipation because of high applied current.) But you can use it with car battery or any kind of 12 volt battery of any ampere which may be more than 10Amp but that battery will not blow up your circuit because there you will connect the battery with capacitor not with the diode. So, there is no chance of any kind of heat dissipation neither any chance of blowing up of any electronic components. Conclusion :- So, atlast I only want to suggest you that knowing all these facts If then also you have the only one option of using this 4 amp transformer then make a separate rectifier circuit for that transformer with a proper diode of that current rating and then connect it with the capacitor of the amplifier board. This will surely make sense and helps to resolve your problem without damaging the circuit board. I hope that your all doubts are cleared now !!!
