Hello! my friend applied for Luna Sea paper tickets, he's part of the fanclub and if he wins the lottery I will be accompanying him (I'm not japanese nor part of the fan club). Do you know if he will need to assign my name to my ticket at some point? Would there be any problems if he cannot attend the concert but I can? 🙏🏼

If it runs similar to other lotteries I know my friends have done, as long as he applied for 2, I dont think there should be a problem. In my experience, if it is just a FC lottery, with no special VIP gifts attached, there usually is not a name requirement. If they do ask for a name, then I don't believe there should be an issue for him to attach your name to the second ticket.

Hi! Im from Argentina currently living in Japan, been here for less than a month and i tried to buy some tickets for the Japan Jam 2024 but im got overwhelm with the amount of login apps and infomation that i have to filled to finally getting rejected in the payment with my 3 credit cards. Then i tried to buy some resale concert tickets at Ticketjam but again the same. How im supposed to have a kanji name to fill if im a foreigner? How can i get a credit card from japan if they ask me to stay at least 6 month?! i really dont get it, freaks me out

I looked at the info for that live. I see that its ticketpia or i-tike. If you used ticketpia did you do the phone verification for a new account? I'm not sure off hand if I-tike has something similar as its been too long since i've had experience with them. For a kanji name, in my experiences ive not seen them ask for a kanji name, but a hirgana/katakana name. For that, you just have to install a JP keyboard on your phone/pc, and then find a katakana name you like. if your name is actually the same as your youtube name, then you would use マーティン フアン. For payment, it looked like on the ticketpia site that they take foreign credit cards, and my friends have also been able to get tickets from them with non-JP cards. I would say check with your card/bank to make sure they are not blocking the transaction.

Some additional notes to clarify/I forgot at 1:28 I talk about tiget and livepocket taking international credit cards. What I forgot to mention is that the sites will often charge you up front when "reserving", so you are actually buying the ticket. There may also be an option where it asks you to select your favorite group on that live. When you get to the venue in this case, you just show the front desk staff your entry number/ticket and pay the drink fee. sometimes they will ask for your name, and even though you filled out which group you like, they often still ask at the desk. If you are not charged up front on tiget/livepocket, than the process is the same as 2019. Your name is put on a list, and you pay the entry fee + drink fee together at the door, and give them your name and group you are there to see. On Modal: I misremembered, it is mobal and linked in the description. One of my friends who also frequents japan has been using them and says he is able to maintain the number even though he does not keep it in Japan.

i still don’t really understand the lottery system. does it mean that who receives a ticket is randomly selected and you might not get one ?😭
@poleosis
@poleosis 4 ай бұрын
>does it mean that who receives a ticket is randomly selected and you might not get one ? yes, that is exactly how it works. If a show has lotteries, they usually do multiple rounds of them. There is also usually a general sale that is open to everyone after all the lottery rounds are done. The only way you will really experience lotteries is if you want to see a highly popular group, or a mid size group that only does a handful of lives a year(think babymetal)

Which part are you referring to? I need to make an update as things have changed since that event in 2020-2022. For example, probably the biggest change is that the majority of lives now are reserved/paid through two somewhat smaller ticketing sites now. It's more rare to see the google form reservation, or twitter reply reservation now.

What are the concert rules and regulations in Japan? purse size limitation? recording devices allowed?
@poleosis
@poleosis 9 ай бұрын
the size of most of the concerts referred to in the video, theres not really a limitation on bag size that you can bring in, unless it is something that is expected to sell out, which they will usually announce beforehand and suggest that if you absolutely need to bring a bag, to use coinlockers inside/outside/near the venue. recording concerts is up to individual groups. any show that has more than one group, some might allow photos only, some might allow video only, while some ban both altogether.

Do you have any experience with resale tickets after a concert is sold out? I really want to go to Metrock Tokyo on the 21st. the resale prices are double their face value at the moment but since I reallly wanna go I don't care. That being said, even if I am fine paying 200€ for a 1 day ticket, it's too much just to end up being denied access in case they do ID checks. (I guess as a non-asian guy it would be pretty obvious a japanese name on the ticket is not mine XD) I sometimes see offers for tickets with the tag "no name"... Those tickets should be safe to get right? Why are there some tickets without name while apparently the vast majority has a name printed on them?

@poleosis Жыл бұрын
I personally have only bought re-seller tickets once, and it was for babymetal at tokyo dome in 2016. I used viagogo, and I believe I had paid something like double the original asking price. Regarding the ID checks on tickets, from my limited experience, ID checks are only done on things like VIP tickets that usually come with some kind of special bonus like signed merch or other VIP only gifts. My experience here is limited to a group called Sakura Gakuin. They offered both VIP tickets and general tickets. the VIP tickets required ID check, but also came with very limited merch. The general tickets had no such ID check and were only entry into that show. I assume any ticket you see that explicity states "no name" is a general sale ticket.

Could you explain more about the number on the ticket and entering the venue? Is that for seated events, or is that just how they organize all events there? Particularly small events with only a handful of bands playing. Do people order themselves in a line outside according to their ticket number or something while they wait for doors to open?
@poleosis
@poleosis Жыл бұрын
USUALLY it is for larger events with a capacity of 500 or greater. However, sometimes it is done for smaller events too. I just got back from a trip, and there was one group in particular who was playing small shows but they were still doing entry by ticket/reservation number. When it comes to people organizing themselves, the first few might line themselves up, but what i've seen most of the time is everyone just hangs back a few feet away from the entrance in a group until their number/number group is called. Though if you plan to go to a show and arrive in the middle of the second or third act on a multi group show, the number won't matter.
