Going through your videos, and I see good potential in this game. In a way, it kind of reminds me of a game I used to play when I was a teen; Eufloria. Eufloria is a strategy game with a super cool and laid back vibe. Really guns mechanics, but easy to get into and just mess around with. Once you learn the mechanics, it becomes a really relaxing game to play. I’m not sure what your vision is for this, but I could see it becoming something similar. Strategy game with a huge relaxing vibe. Keep it up bro!

Thanks! I'll take a look at Eufloria, never heard of it before Laid back is what I'm going for, yup The idea is that the player will make rules for their colony and watch what happens, adjusting the rules as they go I'd also like for players to be able to add multiple colonies to a map so they can see which becomes the most successful

Geeze, this looks great! I just finished the game last night and I LOVE the style of killer7. So cool to see someone recreate it; makes me wish I had a game project solely to get this style out there more. If you're familiar with writing shaders, not too hard! You just need a way to define a gradient, and then you draw that gradient over the texture in screen space. I'm really inexperienced with shaders but something like this isn't too complicated I think. And there are visual editors now for making shaders too, so you don't have to learn HLSL syntax to get started. For Unity, I think it's called Shader Graph.

@@laytonvicars4606it can be anything, since I don't use the texture color at all! I only use the gradient color in the fragment shader though if you wanted to you could still blend the gradient color with an albedo texture
