The muffler is from a 1999 Kawasaki kx 250 modded with a larger internal pipe diameter.

Great Tommy ! i ve done a similar setup, 2110 , microsquirt v3, ethanl (e85), 9 cr and a gbc garrett turbo . But i ve destroyed the new turbo in less than 3 minutes, and one of my cylinders is dead (no compression) . So i hope to start it again next week. Could you tell me what max advance do you use ? Thanks a lot

My max advance at 15 psi is 22 degrees. Very aggressive, but it works great for this particular engine. Having an intercooler and meth injection helps. The cam is an engle fk8 and it uses 1.4 ratio rockers with 9:1 compression.

I don't think it's stupid, It will improve your launch. Looks like it dose. I think I'm going to install one, it will help my launch, I usually slip the clutch but it's hard to be consistent.

In the video I used a pertronix digital rev limiter activated by a dash switch and a clutch switch wired in series. Nowadays it's has a diy efi setup, so no more pertronix.

I think I know why this happened. The shifter linkage length needs to be adjusted so the detent on the lever lines it up better with the 4 positions in the transfer case.

what rev limiter is that, I know it's Bosch but there are different ones that set at different rpms what rpm are you maxing out at ?

+Steven Rubio The Sun tachometer is maxing out at 6000 rpm but the Bosch rotor is rated at 5800 rpm. I'm not sure if one or both of those are wrong. I love that its right at the edge of the power-band.

High compression with bigger stroke and bore. Also has a big cam and rev limited at 6000 rpm. Almost nothing on or in the engine is stock. Its probably got 100 to 120hp, but the torque is what is impressive. It makes my subaru impreza wrx feel weak, but it doesn't pick up speed near as fast.

what are the changes youve made? i thought about getting an offroad built bug (basically a baja bug replica) with the 1.6l engine, has about ~50 hp and i mean thats fine and all but there is way more possible. i heard those old european steel blocks can be pushed by hundreds.

about the same as everyone else's. The track was so short, all the times were close. I heard one of the veterans in a supped up STI say he got under 22 seconds in the first set of runs. I got under 23 seconds.
