Great job!! with your skill sets and style I can't help but wonder why you picked that music. As I'm sure you know, the right music can make a huge difference in the presentation, just because one likes a song doesn't mean they should perform to it. As a classical musician and performing arts administrator, I have witnessed how important music selection can be and because of your great abilities you should really find pieces that not only "speak to you" but that also create interest and drama. A standard AABA song format will be unable to clearly show you at the high level you are. All the best and wish you much success - BTPravda77

Michael used to compete with Abbott and Wier and I thought 🤔 that his score should have been higher in the composition components but were not because the American skaters who only do triples must skate a flawless program for both internationally so is that his goal to be eligible for Nationals and further... for example like Jason Brown, the only veteran who only does triples but extremely artistic... the potential is there for the interpretation of the music 🎵🎶🎵, but he must work on the technical components too because those international judges are VERY strict on our American skaters more than any other country and must be able to do their best and step up to the pressure of being in the top ten if they can... For instance, at 4 Continents, Tomako H, placed in 12th with few mistakes; Max N, placed in 11th with a couple of mistakes, and Andrew T, placed in 9th even though he skated to me and the commentator a flawless program of them both without quads.. but the judging system internationally is stricter with the Americans than others... but congrats to his win though, I enjoyed his program but I think 🤔 that he can do better; he is capable to succeed internationally like our Jason Brown!!!!

These adult skating competitions are going to start riveling the regular skating championships seen on TV if they are allowing triples and even maybe quads in the future.

Phenomenal opening sequence. Is 12.97 the highest scoring combo ever in the adult skating world?

Ted Shuffle's achievement was that he worked closely with the original piece, not an adapted and shortened version such as this one, ans practically used it to tell the story of figure skating...The choreography started with two lone skaters doing school figures and then evolved from, there. It was a joyous choreography - and IMO more deserving of being a legend than what a certain ice dancing pair did two years later at the Olympics. This here has a more languid air to it...I see they are using chairs which were also part of the original dance choregraphy of the Bolero, which I hear was written for a particular dancer. This is pop culture, what Ted Shuffle did was more like modern dance, and thus more similar to the choreography danced by the great Plissetzkaya.
