I have yet to see Travis Barker do anything interesting on drums. I hate to be a jerk about it. But holy shit is he the most overrated drummer. There’s more to drumming than playing fast. To each their own I guess.

Almost 30 years ago I still remember fondly hearing pan flutes being brilliantly played by buskers like these deep in the bowels of the mammoth subway station below Times Square in NYC. The tiled acoustics are utterly fantastic in that place. The sound of their El Condor Pasa made me go out of my way to go looking for the musicians making it happen (bought a tape, too). They made me feel proud that my species could create such beauty, not because of their particular ethnicity or their being citizens of this country or that region, but proud that fellow human beings could create such intense loveliness in such a utilitarian place. I hope they may return again to perform there. 2 of my favorite drummers are Travis, Zack Hill & Kinsella from Make Believe Tim Kinsella's brother I just can't think of his name, but yeah... Travis & Zack are a cliche to have as 2 of my faves, but they're so badass.
