That no carp of my understanding ? never fishing out of the U.K ! Id rather catch a 3lb perch from an unknown water ? A 3lb Rudd ! even a 25lb carp from a canal ! rather from a hole with fish under 25lb like in French that are taken of the lake as pests ! Any dummy can catch at them places ! I watched an episode of Thinking Tackle ? And the Carp angler Has just been convinced to try MAGGOT HOOK BAITS IN WINTER AFTER HES NEVER TRIED MAGGOTS FOR CARP IN WINTER !?;?! ARE U KIDDING MATE !!!? Firstly its not Linea, its Linear. Secondly this carp is not a linear, it looks nothing like a linear and is a plain mirror carp. A linear carp has a perfect row of even scales in the middle and along its entire length, this one doesnt and the reason it doesnt is because its not a linear carp, its a mirror.

i remember tel in the angling press holding that fish mary i was 16 at the time and was getting right in to carpfishing it made me want to go out and catch the biggest carp in the couple of clubs i was in. and still to this day that image gives me that drive to go out and succeed.

@SimplyCarpFishing when hern had the record it was mary at 55lb, he had two tone at around the 50 mark a few years later.
