The way guts got tired and slowed down to where he couldnt completely dodge strikes, it was a really well done illustration of tiring out in real life. No matter how hard you push ur muscles wont be at 100% the entire fight, and youll slow down a lot.

The reason as to why Guts is so powerful is because he has a good link with the ether . Its said in the story. Its also cuz Guts's mother was a magician . This is why Guts sees beings from other planes quite often, its cuz of his ethereal links or bonds .

If they only using melee against Guts, then they stood no chance. 100 guys can't do it because there are limited space and the amount of men they can charge at him at once is also limited. Guts' sword is heavy and the lethality is extremely high. He can swing it with ease. If I was the commanding officer, I'd tell them to stay away and spam only arrows.

hahaha This is by far the best anime adaptations of Berserk. This anime is what made me a diehard fan. Berserk is a masterpiece.

@@seppukumouse8005A lot of it is literally stills with little wiggly lines added. About 15 seconds worth, In less than the first 30 seconds. I would estimate about 3-4 minutes of this clip are stills with wiggly lines added. I get it, anime used to be made cheap. It doesn’t mean they did a good job just because this is the best adaptation anyone has made. It means it’s the least bad in this case I guess. I’m glad it got you into anime, but if I wanted wiggly stills I’d read the manga and bend the pages. I’m also glad you gave me a heads-up, I won’t waste my time with the other adaptations either, cause I believe you when you say this is the best one. That just isn’t really saying much apparently.

@@seppukumouse8005 I guess maybe I just don’t like this style of “animation”. Certainly not trying to invalidate anyone’s opinion, just trying to explain what I didn’t like. If this was an adaptation of something obscure I would completely understand; but I would assume there would have been at least some sort of budget here. I was just hoping for more I guess.

@@ballisticcranberrypeat7777 Berserk was made in 1997. TBH it's not best anime and laughed at all the goofs. I still considered it the best adaptation due to story. The eclipse episode still shakes me to my core. Princess Mononoke animation film from studio Ghibli is a visual masterpiece IMO. Studio Ghibli director Hayao Miyazaki is a legend.

Id say just read the manga. The 1997 anime is pretty damn good though. The voice acting and music are phenomenal. If anything just listen to the Guts theme here on youtube.

@liezallliez, you can also call a japanese animated television series, if you want to, and also I suggest reading The berserk manga in/on The manganato website. Start with chapter 0/Chapter 99,/.5 the prototype manga, and a manga is a japanese comic book, that has to be read from right to left.
