Thanks. The team I was working with sort of game up development all together of that server. However, seeing how much love, joy and not to mention work you put into it made me happy mapping and working on the world that looked 100% lively and happier. If I ever do NoggIt and map a few things, here and there, I will always look back to the Emerald Dream and other things from your mod that just brought back nostalgia and something new that made me smile. I just wish more communities did it this way.

The funny thing is that Imran Zakhaev is a Chechen by nationality, and Chechens can't stand the USSR, which betrayed quite a few peoples of the North Caucasus, and precisely because of the USSR and the murder of many peoples, in particular Chechens. I love COD4 the story is so real and the "villains" aren't cartoonishly evil like later modern warfare games they were fighting for their own lands people and honor their methods were questionable but it was what it take to fight a stronger enemy who had the opportunity to wreaking their countries for decades through proxy wars, sanctions, interventions, instigating revolts and coups and political instability you start to realize that the so called "heros" you playing as are actually the real "villains" you never see them getting attacked first or getting invaded you only see yourself invading and attacking other people in their own nations

My problem with the reboot series is just… I guess how one dimensional the antagonists are? Barkov is just your stereotypical genocidal warlord. Shepard was just obvious as hell. Makarov is his 2009 self but even worse. But Zakhaev in COD4 had an actual character to him, with actual motives. He wasn’t fighting a civil war for the sake of a civil war, but because he actually rallied the people behind the Ultranationalist cause of restoring Russia to its once former glory and to bring the people out of poverty (wink wink) He was a genuinely believable antagonist who actually had very good motives, and was willing to do what was necessary to kick out the foreign invaders (America and Britain) Something about games from the 2000s and early 2010s did a much better job at predicting what would happen in the future, and left important messages to people who played them, compared to what we have today which is just the same “this guy bad, we must kill him”
