I remember being there with my Dad god rest his soul. Surrounded by saints, fans gutted because we hammered them and listened to them going on about us cheating when they were hammered by a better side. COYD

Worst refereeing decision I’ve ever seen, two punches to the back of the head and penalty goes other way! They’re even banned in boxing.

Great upload. Thank you. The powers that be should be investing in heartland clubs such as Cas and indeed Doncaster rather than flight of fancy projects outside our shores.

If I could be reincarnated I'd be a Rugby League player in the North of England. Greastest sport ever.

Ah! Tatty old Tattersfield! Doncaster had been the perpetual bottom club of the lot for season after season and were thought of as a joke. Then they yanked themselves up in an astonishing few years to have a single season in the top division. The atmosphere in Donny at the time proved that there is a sizeable public for RL in that town if they have a decent team. Tattersfield may have been small and tatty, but it had enough space to be turned into a decent ground over time and it was in the right part of town for the RL community and for the kids interested in the game. The present dismal corporate home of Doncaster Rovers doesn't have those advantages. I think the prospects of Donny becoming a significant RL town are less now than they were in 1994. Not unless some cash-rich Koukashian comes along, anyway, and that sort of intervention remains to be validated. It certainly hasn't been at the turnstiles so far, and the season ahead (2015) will be make or break for it on the pitch. The moves of (now) most clubs from tired old grounds has had some successes, but some major failures, too, and I count Doncaster and Salford amongst the latter.
