"Robo knight gets EVERYTHING? That's amazing!" What's amazing is that you managed to get 110 weeks into the game and still not realize that mastering different job classes is what gives you bonus stats when you level up, not just "being robo knight." smh.

Watching this ten years after the fact, I just have to say, watching you guys pass by the opportunity to pick up "Magic Guard DX" MULTIPLE times is so unbelievably frustrating. It's objectively the best defensive magic in the game and NOBODY is willing to buy it despite numerous opportunities to do so. You guys would be doing SO much better if you realized how important your defensive magic skill is.

For anyone wondering who has not yet played this game, it's actually GOOD for a melee focused character to not put points in magic, as they are completely unnecessary for magical defense. The game itself doesn't tell you this, but you actually don't need a high magic stat to survive against magic. What is significantly more important is buying better defensive magic skills, because the skills themselves have passive damage reduction from magic attacks, even when you do not "M guard" as your input for the turn. M Guard DX for example (an end game skill), just by having it equipped, will negate 90% of all magic damage you ever take, and it'll reduce even more than that if you use it in battle. So the problem in the Lich fight wasn't that Kristina had low magic, it's that she never upgraded her defensive skill. If she'd had "M Guard Plus" instead of the basic "M guard" she would have survived against the Lich's attack even without guarding, despite having 144 lower magic skill than her opponent.

I know I'm 11 years late to this, but I have to say it: It bugs the ever-loving hell out of me that you mispronounce "Dough-kuh-PAHN" as "Dough-kuh-pown" despite the fact that the game has audibly pronounced the word correctly multiple times by this point.

I think Joe was in the lead at some point in the very early game

Very interesting Golem battle here @ 5:15 1) It can't kill Joe with strike but it can with attack, I've never seen that before 2) It's magic is only 12 but Joe can't kill it with magic. Just shows how strong Magic Guard DX is (this spell passively reduces all magic dmg by 90%)

if one of you saints who check if these guys are back every now and again know what happened, could you let me know? i know they quit and are currently doing okay outside of thc but if there’s any other information about the quit i’d like to know if you’d like to share. these guys mean a lot too me even if i wasn’t a diehard dedicated fan, their videos helped me in a bleak time of my life and i can’t thank them enough.

What's funny is that Joe is probably the strongest player if only he upgrades his offensive magic, he's still using magic that can be bought at like lv 8 and he's still doing great damage with it. That magic shop in the Tower of Rabble sells Aurora, which is an absolutely over powered spell, I doubt even Rico can survive more than 1 of that spell with Joe's magic.
