@ZachoThemeParks2024 it's hard to tell at the moment because I'm having to use resin printed parts supplied from people who have resin printers. But rough estimate puts a full 5 car train (without bearings) at £80-£100 This makes it about £20-£40 cheaper than it used to cost me 2 uesrd ago however it's much nicer quality and functional like a real roller coaster train

If you are thinking of using a metal chain, try using metal gears as well. Take them off a cheap bicycle you find at a thrift store. If you need a longer chain, use a chain separator tool to break the chain, and connect two chains together. You can also just buy new chain, if you want. Benefit of using bicycle chain and gears, they are designed to mesh and should work well together. The gears in the derailleur might be a good place to start, they're little and have smaller center holes than the crank/wheel gears. I did post something like this as a response to a different comment but it looked like (on my end) like the comment failed to post

Might need to add an extra motor, or some parts to ensure the chain follows the correct path. Might also need some supports underneath the lifting track, as the weight could be changing and causing too many issues with micro-vibrations and strain on the parts. K'nex are so much fun! :)

This is so cool! I remember building a knex coaster with my cousin when we were kids. Definitely not to this scale, but still, it was one of the coolest things ever. You’ve brought back that memory for me, thank you. And you’ve made this look SO incredible that now, I kinda wanna buy some. Awesome job! I’ve never seen a knex build this impressive!

Maybe you can print a special car for the gopro, so it fits well and doesnt make the center of gravity too high. You could make it so that it can connect to a train or roll on its own
