I cant ride these in an urban environment.You need to break fast in case of a car cuts your way.Not to mention you cant take sharp turns at high speeds because the pedals keep spinning and youll hit the ground.

And concerning the technical issues: 1. If you don't use any foot retention, your life would be easier with symmetrical double-sided pedals, preferably rat traps or freeride platforms for good grip. If you don't use what you like - straps, clips, half-clips, clipless or any combination. 2. It's actually a good idea to use the fallen leaves to practice skids. Tire wear, you know... *homophobia = fear that men will treat you the same way you treat women. (no, I'm straight, just tired of the word)

Screw the haters. The video is well made and I honestly enjoyed watching you have a lot of fun with your new toy. And I'm pretty sure you got your technique (controlled skids with feet firmly in pedals, smooth straight lines without wobbling) and chain tension sorted out by now and you don't need youtube comments to know whether straps are good, bad or gay*. There are few videos as encouraging as yours - it shows that you can have fun even at the beginning of the learning curve. Thanks for that.
