Do patients get IV sedation when they have cataract surgery? I will need IV Sedation when I have cataract surgery in the future. I had to have IV Sedation for the 2 past eye surgeries that I had that were for a detached retina.

I just gone through this surgery and my right eye got starburst issues meaning driving in night time is big hassle. Any object which has little light, will be hard to see clearly. I never had any extra issues than vision. I am little disappointed.

Respected sir, if at the time of cataract surgery anterior capsular rim is found ruptured, can this ruptured anterior capsular rim fibrose itself within a fortnight or so to support an IOL in the sulcus ?

yes it is possible if the rupture is singular! a 3 piece iol in sulcus will be safe and effective

A few quick question, please: - Is "PRK" FDA approved? - Can it be done with Keratoconus - especially early stages? - Is it safe for people under 40 / won't cause more thinning or speed up progression? - Generally, is it considered "safe" or "risky"? I'm asking because my doctor suggested both cross-linking (CXL) and PRK. Thank you.

I am 36, working on computer, kc on left eye already and now PSC on right eye which prevent me to read the papers and screen. I am afraid that even after surgery the opacity could not be cleaned and my vision will still remain cloudy. I am also afraid of YAG which leads my retina to be subjected to UV lights more. I don't what to do and need help!!!!
