Sonny was a good friend when he startee the Ribiot. I set up his audio system there and was honored to be his guest at the grnd opeing., Sadly we lost touch afteerward but he and Susan are among my most cherised memories of those days.

I did this as a kid too, couldn't stop smiling and laughing either and the tour guide joked how we're on a giant bee should be terrified 🤣

My brother and I were picked. if I remember correctly we walked up a flight of steps and the door to enter the bee room is where they picked the kids. I just came across a photo my parents took of me on top of the bee. Can't see my brother due to the angle.

So where's the sound? You need to re-edit the video and add some narration or some car sounds or something.

I was chosen to do this! My sister didn't want to do it, so they picked someone else out of the crowd to do it with me. I wish I had a video of it. Such wonderful memories.

Why is this called the 20th anniversary when it was only 16 at the time?
@qualityghost
@qualityghost 2 жыл бұрын
while the site was only 16 at the time, the actual Homestar Runner characters and most notably the first children's book were 20 years old at this time I believe

An artist friend of mine was the actual sender of the sbemail that asked Strongbad what accessories could be added on his hands and I can guarantee that he is just as funny in real life. Another friend I knew later on at a bar dressed up as him gloves and all, it was amazing(and yes, he did have accessories on the hands too, funny enough).

Is this the sbemail about adding fingers (entitled 'fingers') or is it the sbemail about accessories instead of boxing gloves (entitled 'new hands')?

My heart is bursting with pride along with a lump in my throat. I am so happy that the Oklahoma Route 66 Association has acknowledged the significance of Betty Wheatley and her contribution to the history of Route 66 by indicting her into the Oklahoma Route 66 Hall of Fame.. What a wonderful and interesting narration documenting her story. Thank you to all involved who were instrumental in making this honor for Betty transpire. Bravo! In the 1950s and 60s we traveled this bridge each summer on our trip from Maryland to St Louis to visit my grandparents. I remember it well! I knew when we got to the bridge, we were almost there.
