They're Sunday letters apparently but we don't use them, I'm afraid. Interested to hear if you find an answer anywhere. Sorry we can't help more

I like this video. Do you have a how to video for using the BCP 1662 for the Daily office?
@StJohnsHensingham Жыл бұрын
Hello Tom. I'm sorry to say that we don't currently. I would suggest having a go and seeing how you get on. Morning and Evening prayer will direct you to the daily psalm (which I mentioned) in addition there is a table of readings for the day at the very front of the Prayer Book. Collects (prayers) for the various Sundays are in the middle and are 'the same as the Communion' meaning basically the Sunday service with some other prayers to choose from to pray for government etc. Church Society have various resources about all things Anglican. Hope this helps!

Thank you for taking the time to do this - that certainly sheds a different light on those words to what one might think if one just read some of the sentences.

Thanks Peter. I hope it's fair to the spirit of the text

I would have added the instructions about the collects. What book of common prayer is that? ISBN?
@peterreynolds6235 Жыл бұрын
Genuine question - not trying to prove anything or to disagree with you. How - given that this is said in the context of healing - do you take James in his epistle saying "The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much"?

Thanks Peter for your question. I'm working on it! . . .

I was surprised to find out recently that the Table of Lessons in the Cambridge BCP isn't the original 1662, but from 1871 (the alternative being the 1922). The "original" is in the 1662 International Edition by Inter Varsity Press (with an alternative from 1961). The "original" actually seems easier to follow, so that's the one I'm following this year. I suppose they all "do the job". Happy New Year!

Thank you, David. This is the first time I've followed the Table of Lessons (although I've enjoyed other parts for some time) and I was interested to hear about this. I'll look up the International Edition. Happy New Year to you also!

Hello! I loved your content a lot. I've been trying to find for a video like yours that breaks down everything in this video!Your lesson is like the channel from Doctor Ethan. Dr Ethan's videos are helpful and he really helped me on my wellness. He is the most informative health enthusiast on KZbin and he teaches health symptoms. I recommend you watch his channel out and give Doctor Ethan a like! ➡️ #DrEthanTips

With all due respect, Since the beginning of our creation, We've been judging each other before any book or any modern day social construct".. It's in our instinct in order to survive.
@StJohnsHensingham4 жыл бұрын
Thanks for your comment! People have been doing that and the Bible holds out a different way to regard people as the Lord sees them. You are right that people do judge a lot. Thanks for engaging

@@StJohnsHensingham I understand, Just one question.... Is there a book to Life? Seriously I know we live in a material world now and everything is amplified" because of that. But I feal there is no book to Life. I have a KZbin channel that ultimately based on fun/ SILLINESS LOL, because of the state that the human race is in.. In my opinion, It's the the rich 1% and our government's who've been abusing religion since they got their hands on these books. And it's not us that needs to be told.. It's our new god's... Government and the rich 1%. Sorry but that's really the way it is now. But hey I see your doing something positive, and I appreciate that👍🏻👍🏻

@@technicalmadman2986 We believe the Bible is God's book to life and Jesus offers life. In John's gospel it says: 'These things are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God, and by believing have life in his name.' I jusy wanted to say that I am so enjoying the sermons each week. They are so easy to understand. yet hit home so hard, and leave you lots to think about (the rewind is very handy here) Fergus last week and Glyns.....when he says 'For God so loved the world that he sent his only son...if you believe this and fail to tell others, dont pretend that you love them, because you don't . It just says it all.
