Thank you. This is helping a lot. Starting on the slower BPMs and working up to faster. Great aid. Blessings.

If you were to set the measures in track 2 to 5 and then set LOOP LENGTH in MEMORY/REC to 1, and QUANTISE to MEASURE, track 2 recording will stop automatically after the 5 measures eliminating all rhythm drift. I have my 1,2 and 3 control buttons set to factory settings and after recording Track 1, during playback I press TRACK SELECT then REC/PLAY which sets track 2 ready to record immediately track 1 loop finishes. This makes track 2 absolutely spot time wise. This works great for me.

Also sync to the drum machine?
@KennyElphickMusic7 ай бұрын
Hi Steve, I tried your suggestion, however in order for it to work, you appear to need to have loop sync ON for track two which then causes problems with switching between the two tracks as they do not both start at the beginning of the loop. Any thoughts on this? Thanks.

Very nicely done. Pachelbel really benefits from a good back track - which you have here beautifully.

Great lesson. For a while I was wondering why the fingering looks so easy in your hand but I'm having so much difficulty with it. Then I realized your barring the D and G strings with your index finger while still managing to let the E and A strings ring open. I can't do that.

Great lesson that addresses what I'm trying to work into my playing and I will definitely be working on. My only complaint is that the transcription at the bottom covered your right hand technique when you put it all together.
@The8Strings5 жыл бұрын
Thanks Jeffrey! Yes you're right, the written music is really covering up the right hand. Sorry about that. This was my first attempt to do a lesson. Still have a lot to learn, though.

Thank you very much Jesper, great lesson. I noticed you having an armrest installed on your mandolin. Could you perhaps comment on this device and the usefulness of pickguards as well?
@The8Strings5 жыл бұрын
Hi Mr. 8strings !!!! The armrest is just to protect my arm, when playing for a longer time. The pickguard I use by tremolo playing. I put my fingers (nails) on the pickguard in order to control how much I'm digging into the strings with my pick.
@8strings5 жыл бұрын
@@The8Strings Thank you for your prompt reply. I had an armrest on my mandolin on and off and still not sure which setup I prefer. The pickguard has been permanently removed as I do not anchor at all. Thanks again and your playing style is a refreshing addition to what is already established in the world of 8 string music.
