I've been experimenting with the Tekken cast, so this is always helpful! will you start covering DLC fighters soon?
@IronFistUniversity27 күн бұрын
It's likely that we'll wait to do further in-depth character guides until season 2 drops. This style of shorter video will let us make more frequent content until then, so if you have aspects of a DLC character you'd like to see explained, share your idea with us :)

I think playing Soul Calibur,Mishimas & Negan taught me auditory senses but in tournaments without speakers or headphones its a bliss to have visual cues now in Tekken 8

This guide is great! I would like to see the moves being displayed on scren as well but other than that this guide is very well made

amazing guide. straight to the best moves, not like all the tekken guides out there where someone mindlessly drawls over the entire movelist.

Poor Reina must make do with Sentai transition rather than knockdown. Anyway the quintessential jab punisher. I had seen someone once tell me that Bruce's 1,3,4 (which got inherited by Josie) was the best 10-frame punish but I was like...why? When this move exists, that covers the most optimal situation a Mishima player could want on offense and is granted at the bare-minimum of punishment windows. Heihachi had a crap 1,1,2 in Tekken 6. Not a lot of people remember that (it could wall splat but that was hardly enough of an upside to making it only confirmable off of the first hit since that only made him a menace if his opponent was backed against the wall and did something -10 and otherwise made him considerably easier to deal with in the open; this already coming off how much pressure he lost over 5:DR in 6).

Please continue this series! It's a big help to new players like me. I struggled with understanding Nina since all her moves look very similar. Same thing with Steve, speaking of Steve would be great if you could cover him sometime in the upcoming videos :D

Great starter guide. I think something I would add, is trying to set up counter hits. When you hit a df1, or 1 jab, or b33...using 434 but also **223**. 223 is an incredible panic move for lee, being a hit confirm counter hit that does tremendous damage against opponents who like to mash. If you're under pressure, crouchjab is good, but 223 will put the fear of god in a rush down opponent and make them play much more passive, and consistent. Another great move if you're looking to check -- standing 3. 3,3 is a great damaging mid, but 3 on its own is very plus on hit and very safe on block. Learning to do safe mids, and then OBSERVE the opponent, is an incredibly important and powerful tool to use with lee. With just df1, 3, d3, 434, 1, and 223, the opponent is in a very strong mind game every time you play "small tekken" with them.

thought you wrote "while standing 3" and thought my game was bugged until i went into practice range. on a side note why in the world is ws3 on this char -21? craziest number on a normal looking move ive seen yet

struggled for a long while to get asuka to bushin rank. her jab being bad (bad range and tracking, minus on block) is a major obstacle so don't rely on it like other characters rely on jab, just be patient with her and poke with her other tools. i abused her punch sabaki as many opponents don't have matchup knowledge against it. her f2 isn't as reliable in old tekkens since KBD was nerfed overall to create distance for the whiff opportunities (asuka has a particularly bad KBD in t8 since it doesn't cover much distance compared to other KBDs) so the strat for F2 for me as been reading the opponent into SS then into F2 for the whiff punish. going gorilla mode with asuka's new naniwa powerups is a valid way to play her. it gets really ridiculous what kind of offensive pressure she now has at the wall with this move set. asuka for me has always been about clean, fundamental play and reading your opponent. she also lets players simplify defense (powercrush, cancans, SS 2, db1,2, reversals) so their brain power can be focused on neutral tekken play and conditioning the opponent into making mistakes. also, asuka oki setups and WR 1+2 movement cancels is super stylish to party mode against her opponents, haha.

Have they nerfed 44:4 I thought it was a decent i11/i12 block or whiff punisher
@IronFistUniversity7 ай бұрын
44:4 is great if you can hit it. Mess it up and you'll end up -13, though. For a player new to Lee, I'd say it's not essential.
