Adding the acid to the battery and charging it yourself is actually better for your battery because you don't know how long the battery you are getting has been sitting all charged up . Batteries start to dicipate their charge very quickly while just sitting and not being used. Many battery manufacturers actually use pre -charged ready to go battery as a negative selling feature .

I don't recommend the second Kerpu model. I had mine for about 2 years and it stopped working. The battery died and isn't replaceable. I would recommend a dedicated machine that takes 120 volt or European voltage.
