Great conversion, Graham enjoyed watching the dvt I think there's one on the market for the 225 the one you have I think that goes with the 87 86 and maybe a 90 I think they call that the mk3. I am pretty sure Hornby did do the mk4 dvt for the 91. Thanks for sharing 👍 and happy modelling.

Yep, just had a look, and you're right. Mk4 dvt around £80. Don't know how that slipped by me. Still, it's more fun and cheaper making my own I guess. Will get an old mk4 dvt body and fit it to make it more accurate (prototypical) when I come across a good example. Cheers 🙂 👍

Hi, very good upgrade on the older class 91 model, I was under the assumption that Ringfield motors ran badly under dcc control, I’m surprised you didn’t fit cab lighting in this model as it adds additional appeal to the loco, great video content as always, thanks for sharing.
@WHP1980s
@WHP1980s 3 күн бұрын
@StormmyStormmy I'm not using the ringfield motor, only leaving it installed as weight. I'm just using it as a trailer dummy for my 2022 version. As for cab lights I never really use them even when they are part of a built in lighting package, so I didn't bother as they are never on while the loco is in motion. But that's just me I guess. Cheers Graham 🙂 👍

Hi Graham nice work ,we are like mates right 😊,what you could of done is use a HST power car as a surrogate DVT also don’t swear at me (vainights)😂😂 those to things you painted black on the roof are the cab ti shore radio pods we had them on our buses for our TfL radio system and not vents bud ,don’t recall them ever too and tailing a 91 each end BUT it was on the drawing board so your really doing what BR may of done You take care my friend Mark

I used a pack of various lima wipers I bought sometime ago. Just cut and adapted them to suit. But I have been experimenting with cutting my own out of 0.3 mm Phosphor Bronze Sheet that people sell on fleabay. They are working out ok, but could do with being a little thinner I reckon.
