Ramee was trying to charge Pred with the shooting. He had no interest in trying to lock Marty up. He just wanted him cuffed while they investigate and collect evidence. Ramee was actually kind of pissed when he realized that he had no choice but to believe Pred's story after Marty ran.

Its not the same at all.... There are literal 3rd party eye witnesses, medical reports and also gun cases all supporting that marty is innocent and was shot in the back

@@viktoriasimon4329 There aren't 3rd party eye witnesses though. Lang isn't a 3rd party, and Conan didn't see anything until after Pred yelled "he has a gun" and started shooting. Also, the fact that he didn't fire a gun is not a good argument. You are allowed to stand your ground before someone else hits/shoots you, thats the whole point of stand your ground. They are trying to get him out of getting search/GSR tested with that argument, but unfortunately its not a valid argument. The cops are allowed to use witness reports as probable cause to GSR test or frisk suspects. They also have no reason to believe that Pred is lying, he isn't a felon and he is running for mayor, plus he complied with the officers. It wouldn't make sense for him to throw away his weapons license and becoming the mayor to shoot someone in a hospital. (as viewers we can obviously watch the clip that proves that Pred set this whole thing up and we know that Pred doesn't really care if he becomes a felon, but a cop wouldn't know that) Conan wanted to charge Pred for the shooting, that was his main goal. If Marty didn't have a hot gun he could have just complied and Pred would have been charged. However since he was already involved in a previous shooting he had no choice but to run, and since he ran it makes Pred's story more believable.

And I get stand your ground and if they wanted to frisk him I would totally get that, but gsr testing literally wouldn't prove anything (in THIS situation) as only preds casings were on the scene, so only he shot there even if what he said (that marty pulled a gun on him) was true. Unless ofcourse they wanted to gsr test him to link him to previous shootouts which i dont really like since there is no way to get rid of gsr. Of course they would have still arrested marty in this case even if they only frisked bc he still had his gun on him, BUT if he left it out in the car and they ONLY frisked him that would have proved that pred lied. What i dont like isnt that marty was (almost) arrested, its just the way the pd went about it, he was always guilty no matter what. I get that they CAN gsr test him i just think they shouldnt given the evidence Also i think in cases like this they should totally rp it out where someone was shot bc the fact that marty was shot at the back makes day and night difference

@@viktoriasimon4329 Yea, I personally think calling for a GSR is like putting the cart before the horse. It would make more sense to start with a frisk and if they found the gun to then GSR test him afterwards. However with that being said you are implying that the police have motives for calling for a GSR test when its just not true. Its unfortunate but it has basically become standard operating procedure for police to GSR test at the scene of any violent crime, especially if it involves a downed officer. Just 5 days ago Vingle stabbed and killed a cop. The responding cops stopped 4head after seeing him walk on the sidewalk with the only information being the radio call from the cop saying "78's(need backup emergency) 4head and vingle". Without even telling him why they were stopping him they tried to put him in cuffs and then shot him in the back as soon as he tried to run away under the assumption that "innocent people don't run" completely glossing over the fact that 4head is a felon and for all he knows the cops could have a warrant out for his arrest making it understandable for him to run away when they just randomly try to cuff him with no explanation(they could have just frisked him since he was complying and checked his weapons for blood, but they immediately went for a cuff). Then the first thing the cop does to 4head after getting him medical is GSR test him even though a gun was never shot on the scene. In my opinion I think its just their natural response to gunshots in particular because its rare for an incident to happen right next to them. They usually show up after the shooting is over, so they are used to have 0 reliable information and needing to GSR test all downed individuals to try and understand what really happened at the scene. Its also pretty rare for more than one situation to happen back to back like this, so defaulting to a GSR test isn't crazy because even if the guy says that he didn't shoot a gun there is no harm in testing because he wouldn't show up positive anyway. Plus, the cops didn't realize that the two situations were connected until after Marty had already fled the scene.

He has a legal gun and license, but the rules to use it for civs is that you have to warn them. That is why he was shouting so the cops believe him

Nah, I was watching him during all this, & I actually felt bad for him fr lmao: Conan went down 2 times to speedy, got stabbed by lovmore all in 15min, then the experienced cops got called to sum at MRPD, so he was the only competent cop left to try to organize all 3 scenes(2 of which he went down at, +getting stabbed at the other); And in his pov, langs standing up beside Marty, instead of Marty carrying him downed through the doors. (After he saw other pov’s he said that he thought lang and Marty were both up walking in together, & so preds story of Marty pointing at him first would’ve been possible too; plus, then because of how Marty was acting vs how Pred cooperated it made it seem likely that Marty was the guilty one. (Sorry, just wanted to add context cuz ramee is prolly the best nopixel cop in terms of making all his crim interactions enjoyable for both sides; & not just screwing crim rpers for his own content)

(It was weird tbh, cuz Conan never even said anything about GSR testing Marty cuz he knew he didn’t shoot; it was other cops that weirdly brought up gsr). The only eye witnesses were pred vs lang Marty and + Conan; and from Conan’s POV lang is somehow standing up like he’s fine beside Marty at the doors instead of actually being carried while downed lmao; so ramee said after, that since he thought lang and Marty were both up the whole time & because of the way pred immediately surrendered/cooperated vs how skittish/sneaky Marty was being b4 he ran. It made pred’s claim that: “Marty pointed a weapon at him first so he defended himself with his legal firearm” seem the more likely scenario. So that’s why he was ordering Marty to be cuffed & patted down.
