This is quite a good approach to Schiele's style. 🙂👍 By the way, the "e" at the end of "Schiele" is not supposed to be dropped.
@mygeekfamilycotton8 күн бұрын
@@tubekulose thank you! And, yes, for the pronunciation I realised that after the video (in French, we drop the « e » for Schiele). I addressed my « bad » prononciation of artists names in the sketch from the video about Lichtenstein… 😂😂😂

@@mygeekfamilycotton Yes, I realised your French accent, and actually I was already about to write that it could be a bit inconvenient for you, as a French speaker, to pronounce it that way . But then I thought you might be angry at me if I did so. So I stopped typing. 😂😂😂

@@ReineDujardin merci beaucoup, Reine!

Great hilarious intro! And thank you for he ideas of how to paint a "Matisse". I'm fascinated with his earlier works (Fauvism), not so much the paper collages.
@mygeekfamilycottonАй бұрын
@@anjapinkau3737 thanks a lot! The collages were mostly done at the end of his life, when he was bed ridden and was no longer able to paint. His assistants would paint large sheets of paper and he would cut them and glue them. But as for fauvism, his style is so unmistakable! There are colors combinations and simplified shapes that make him a great artist.

1. Grey background 2. Flecking, spotting to add texture 3. Make composition like Drew Struzan does, rectangle with big triangle, space for the titles. 4. Draw it in pencil or similar 5. Ink the drawing 6. Shade it in greyscale using few tones. 7. Begin airbrushing on top of the inking, yellow, orange, red, brown for warm colors, then light blue, dark blue, grey and almost black for cold colors 8. Add color pencils on top of everything. Add light to dark areas, and dark to your lights. Add texture. 9. Enhance the colors. Make your blacks blacker and your whites whiter. Contrast. 10. Add finishing touches (lens flares, lights, etc.) I would say, Drew Struzan's paintings always have a lot of texture, so I would make sure that you add texture with colored pencils, brushes and more during all the steps on which its possible. I would also think this would all apply to digital too, using common brushes.
