That's incredible. Casio can make a sub $5 two way basic calculator but not a two way FX-260 II at any price.

How I can put i in the pink one
@MartinBeerbom3 ай бұрын
To anyone trying to make a choice: 1) In practice, the speed of these calculations does NOT matter. 2) The ONLY thing the CW does better is the SOLVE app, which is now in a menu. And it only does it better because it is more practically stable (the EX has a tendency to lose entries when you press the wrong button, while the CW is more likely to keep whatever you have painfully typed in). 3) The CW changes some simple fundamental things or makes them more clunky by putting them in menus. One of the most problematic for me (a calculator user for over 40 years; if you only learned this one, things may vary) is the changed behavior of the "x10^n" button, which replaces the "E" button. In the past (that is, ALL calculators made in the past who had this functionality) this button was used to enter an exponent in scientific notation which was part of the number you entered. Now it's actually a product, with the exponent of the ten NOT part of the number. (Entering "1/3x10 3" gave in the past 1/3000, entering "1/3x10³" now gives 1000/3. The labeling printed on the button remains almost identical.) This makes many calculations in physics more clunky and requires more attention to details like extra brackets.

In the 991CW, it is not the lack of the functions themselves, but the fact that they are time consuming to find (scrolling through menus).

This does not help whatsoever. How about inputting f(x) = sin (4 x^2 + 5 x) or f(x) = Ln(tan(4 x )) and tell me what you get. You will not get the right answer. What you are showing is fine for something simple but try using an actual equation

the F-792SGA has more functions but it isnt for complex calculations. It even has formulas stored there such as sine law and potential energy formula. It is basically kinda like Internet Explorer back in the days where is had a lot of features but it sacrificed performance which Chrome did have the opposite. Guess what did the majority picked?

@@giantppwillyeet3910 I wonder how you are sailing of so easy with a CAS calculator
@giantppwillyeet3910 Жыл бұрын
@@terraincognita2973 the algebra is the hardest part of calculus imo. The CAS can factor and foil everything I need in the exact terms I need. Calculus is not hard, but simple algebra mistakes makes it difficult. Additionally, the CAS calculator can compute triple integrals and partial derivative. All I need is to find the bounded regions and I’m set. Ez stuff

@@terraincognita2973 its all about practice! I remember failing calc 1 back in highschool (I also got a score of 1 on the AP calc exam). I also wouldn’t say my math classes are exceptionally easy either. There are definitely times where I was struggling, but asking for help from my professor really solidified what I learned. It’s like learning an instrument, practice makes perfect.

can we store equations in ti 84 plus which can be later used in integrals or graphing?
@theedspage Жыл бұрын
Yes. For example, store an equation to a Y# variable by either entering it on the Y= list or using quotes on the home screen or in program. Example: storing x^2 + 1 in Y1. [ y= ] and type 2X^2+1 at Y1 or at the Home Screen or Program, "2x^2+1" -> Y1. Recall Y1 from the Vars, Y-VARS, Function.
