Is it possible to remove the blades from the motor? Or did I miss that part?

Thanks! This is a public service. I'm lazy and just took off the front cover. I run the front cover in the shower, and the rest of it, a damp microfiber rag and a air compressor to clean out.

I've had this fan for like a year and for some reason, they hid the screws in just the right way where I could never figure out how to open it up. For a while I just assumed they sonically welded the plastic or something. I was considering just buying a new one, but I figured I'd look up the model number, and your video was the first result. Huge, huge thanks for covering my blind spot with this one 😅

None of my Phillips screwdrivers has a shaft that is skinny enough and long enough to reach these screws, so I’m stuck using pipe cleaners to get the gunk off the fan blades and the vent grids. I looked for this video to see whether a regular person was actually able to reach these screws and, more importantly, get them back in through those deep wells. Even if I buy a long enough small Phillips, I’m afraid I won’t get the darn faceplate back on.

Even the inside filter can be further opened. there are holes on the periphery of that, softly press a thin screwdriver in it, and tilt so that slight pressure is applied on the filter, then another gap will start opening up, put another screwdriver in that or even put your finger nail and twist, the upper and lower portions of the filter will separate, you will find a lot of calcium solidified in that. clean that with some cloth of metal. To reassemble, just put them together and slightly press, they will become assembled again with a click sound. It wouldn't break.

I just cleaned out one of these and have another one to clean. I didn't unscrew the Motor or anything like that but between some Cleaning Wipes, a Tongue Depressor (for cleaning through the Grillwork all over), Popsicle Stick (to get the tinier areas) and some Canned Air to get all around the Motor and those parts, I got it pretty clean. It was starting to make a little rattling noise before I cleaned it, but afterward, it runs so nice and quiet, just like it did when I first bought it! 😍

why you had motor out you should of put a couple drops on front and Back( a little trickier) bearing felt area, just let it drip , a few times down shaft into bearing felt for rear ~Its critical to making these last a long time

Just needed a smooth blast of compressed air to do 80% of your work. The real thing lubing up the bushings you missed totally. Thats the most imp thing. Can be done easily with a long spout and SAE20 or 30 oil 2 drops.

There is a flat plastic piece just around the spindle..it would break once youd start removing the blade. Not necessary actually to pull the blade out
