lord mark approved. is def one way to do it, or round nose pliers, or solder on ring first then cut after, or hold agains peg ofc then clean up with files. many many ways to go about it and this is def a gud one for shaping it before put together.

Several passes thru a laminator would transfer the toner onto the metal - the heat melts the toner, making transfer easier.

Great video but background music made it difficult for me to pay attention to everything said so I found myself rewinding the video a lot in the beginning.

I need to fix a silver cuff bracelet can that be soldered like the ring ? It also has turquoise stones around the band but not on the bottom part that you squeeze to adjust for size. Tyia

What name of papper? What kind printer used(laser or other)?, what kind of metal(iron, aluminium, stainless or all kind be used)?

I don't think the beads actually decrease ring sizes to the measured amount. There's still a lot of open room for the flesh to squeeze in. I'd just guess that decreases the size by around 60% Delta. (Delta is the difference/variable between 2 states/measurements)

Oh man, i think you just saved my course! Im being shown to cut the metal into a slight arc and not matter what im ending up with far too much metal for the depth of the stone and getting a slightly off balance collet because of it, I'm going to try your method, seems much simpler and easier to calculate, thank you for uploading this video.

@jeweleralmighty8354 just tried it there and so far so good, much easier and quicker to get the size needed and it's not overly deep plus the trick of turning the collet over after the initial tapping into the block seems to have worked a charm. Glad you came up in my search! Keep up the good work!!

Nice technique. Can it be resize down on 9.25 starling silver with solitaire AD stones or any other imitation ring? Or this flame process will ruin the total ring if it's not pure silver?

Bro... that's excellent! This worked so great! I had to add a couple wraps of electrical tape so my Dremel flex shaft could grip the toothpick, and the crappy polishing compound that came with my various Dremel kits was dried up powder... but I had some automotive paint swirl remover, and even though it's super liquidy, it STILL worked great with the toothpick. I'm thrilled! TY!
