Hey!! I recently purchased this car from Langley BC. Now in my collection with my other GS-R and a couple other 2nd generation Integra's. The years have taken a toll on the car, but it was purchased exactly as it's shown in the video here.
@RyanFudgeRush2 жыл бұрын
The only differences now are the Tein suspension and 3rd generation integra wheels that were installed by a later owner. Otherwise the car survived relatively untouched since you sold it. It had been parked for the last 3 years after the previous owner passed, I recently purchased this car in September with 336,XXX KM. It will become a long term restoration project alongside my Red '92 GS-R.

@@RyanFudgeRush Wow that's good to hear! I bought it near new for my oldest daughter and she drove it for quite a few years before I got it back and had some fun with it myself before selling it. Good luck with it and maybe send a few pics our way. nitromike @ gmail.com. Thanks!

@@MikeR55 Neat! Always interesting to hear some history behind a vehicle. I'd be glad to! I haven't had much time to get into it just yet so there isn't much to show; the car will be getting put away in storage for the winter tomorrow. I''ll be sure to get a few pictures tomorrow to send your way though!
@MikeR552 жыл бұрын
@@RyanFudgeRush Thanks for the pics! I'm quite sure that is it. I'll doublecheck the serial# if I can find any record of it. Great to see the GS-R again. Good memories with that little beast, it was a blast to drive and we miss it. I'll also reply to your email.

What day of week was this? Any incoming traffic? Any of you dropped your bikes and if so, where they in the corner or on boulders? THANKS
@MikeR559 ай бұрын
Mid week, light traffic. Easy ride on maintained dirt. Awesome views once up higher. Try the White Rim Trail, it was awesome.

big long shot but.... any chance you still have the DT and woud be willing to sell? I'm in BC.
@MikeR552 жыл бұрын
Yes I still have it. Might sell in Spring. It's been in storage for years. No doubt it will need a new battery and carb clean though.
@MikeR55Ай бұрын
Actually after 12 years of storage I got it running again and it's insured. Think I'll keep it for now. All it needed was cleaning the plugged pilot jet, a full service and detailing.

@@haycait911 I'll let you know but it won't be sooner than next spring. I see others for sale so keep looking. Just for fun I'll post a new walkaround video soon. Latest upgrade is a new battery, the old lead acid 3 amp battery is no longer available so a nice upgrade , a Sherco LFP4 lithium battery from Kenco Motorcycles.

My dad bought a 47 chief in 1972 in Irving Texas. I remember he was counting money in his truck, I asked him what it was for, he said he was going to buy an old indian chief. I was 7 at that time, I pictured an old Indian with feathers on his head. When he came home with the old motorcycle, I remember being confused.. He paid 250 bucks for that Indian. It didn't run, he had that bike sitting in the living room in pieces. Then one night very late, I woke up to the sound of that engine firing up and a lot of hootin and hollerin.. I remember going for rides sitting on a folded up towel on the rear fender hanging on for my life, of course no helmet. Those were the days. He had that old Indian up until his death in 1986. I inhereted it, rode it for a few years. Had twins and the old indian had to go, heads the Indian went, tails the kids went. (Just kidding) I miss that old Indian. But I will always have the memories..☺

It's good you remember your Dad's passion, and the bike that was its object. I wish you could have held on to it, but, as you said, your kids came first and I know your Dad would have seconded your decision. I hope you have pics of your Dad with the Chief. More than you, your kids will treasure them.
@tryarunm Жыл бұрын
That's one of the most evocative memories I have ever read. God bless your Dad. I just wish you could have held on to his Indian, never let her go out of your hands after all the effort and care he lavished on her. Of course, Dad would have been the first to advise you to dispose of her when you needed to.

The old guy rides like I do, idle and gentle throttle when needed. The youngster behind him revs to attract attention. Mind you, thats as lovely a rev as any motorcycle will ever produce.
