1987 2nd Grade Gloomy/Rainy days Sitting on the floor of the empty classroom we used for watching movies Lights off, blinds lowered closed LOVED those days watching this classic at school! I always naively assumed we watched it cos we were a small town school and couldn’t afford newer movies 😂

Does anyone remember the short they showed in grade school where a boy who was either Hispanic, Middle Eastern, or Indian wanted to buy shoes, but his brother or sister was sick and they needed his money so they could get medicine for him or her. Otherwise, he or she wasn't gong to be able to go on vacation with the family and the whole time the kid kept talking about his new shoes. Then they are at a temple in the end and his father pulled out the shoes for him.

Remember the sound of the skates hitting the wall as you grabbed on for dear life! Loved that place...whenever I hear the song "Dr Dr give me the news I got a bad case of lovin you..." I think of the nights we wud scramble to get on the floor and dance on skates
