Look techwear actually looks nice, it sorta makes me think of goth/edgy style, but technological and with ninjaesque style. The issue is that there's no way that's a style you can sport often unless you live somewhere the temperature is often below 20°C (68°F), but also not below 10°C (50°F).

Im starting to think techwear isnt really a thing, every video and thumbnail is the same couple of “influencers” and that angry looking japanese man staring off into space. Show me a candid techwearer, not someone modeling for their own camera.

My take on "techwear" is striking good balance between function and form. Examples of functions are water & wind resistence, breathability, packability, carryability (I made this word up), quick dryness, mobility, etc. Of course form is about looking cool! On such scale, I find ACRONYM, Veilance, SISP and Nikelab ACG (suprise surprise all of these have Errolson's involved) are/were doing a great job. Sadly, they do cost A LOT, but think about the crazy processes behind - R&D, pattern making, etc., the products do worth the price tags. Same as other expensive hobbies, "techwear" is probably one of them. Given the price tag and the niche interest, I don't think it will "be dead", but also won't go real mainstream. I do find it's a good thing!

I love the utility of techwear and it doesn't have to be expensive or too flashy but i enjoy the flashy stuff too lol, to me it is inconsequential if techwear goes mainstream because im wearing it for the utility it provides not for impressing anyone.

Maybe I'm just old, but I personally always associate punk fashion with cyberpunk rather than techwear.

If it's a style that's going to be around for a while then it has to even out. The cheap brands have to grow into quality brands, and the already quality expensive brands need to have more accessible options if they don't already. They'll also need to tone down the flash and turn up the function. I think it'll be the people who figure out how to fuse a classic aesthetic and function. It looks too much like a style instead rather than someone's look. Meaning most people won't mature into it they'll just go a different way. If they do stick with it, chances are they'll figure out how to tone it down. With what I see now, it just looks like a pain in the ass to put together and even more so to pull off. If people actually use all the pockets they have how often do they pause to remember or dig through which pocket/compartment has whatever they're looking for? It also seems like a style that's trying to reinvent what already works, a simple bag. Obviously this is all some random dude's opinion. It's not a style or clothing pieces I'd go for. When an outfit comes with a learning curve I've done too much. It also does the exact opposite of what my style does, which is grab attention. And it holds it. It's such a unique style too, that everyone that rocks it, looks the same. To me it's in such a trend phase it comes off as a try hard style, and I don't mean for that to sound shitty. I look at a simple trucker jacket and wonder what techwear has over that. Again it falls back into trying hard and reinvent what already is simple, clean, and works with nothing extra. It's the lack of all the extra that makes it look good. Makes anything look good. Maybe techwear has reached its level of mainstream and this feeling of it dying is a result. Once a certain threshold of people and lesser but numerous brands have come to it, it's over. The original wearers can smell the money grab.

Techwear is like sushi: There are a ton of ways to fuck it up but you can't go wrong with the basics. Also if you're concerned with "death of techwear" it wasn't ever your style to begin with. I don't care about trends. Same reason why that Supreme shit was not appealing to me. I think the problem is with the word "techwear". If were talking about that specifically, yes, the hype ruined it with all the wannabes on Instagram and clout chasers. "Techwear" I think is not dying but becoming more of a confining term for the style since it is in fact evolving. To be honest I'm glad its "dying" since the entire community are gate-keeper elitists. At the end of the day, you're only considered "into techwear" if you have an ACRONYM wardrobe which is funny because all that really is, is high-end fashion. I'm guilty of this too so no hate. The essence of techwear isn't one thing...and its not easily attainable...yet, not hard to accomplish. Its like sushi.

Techwear may look fashionable, but the overpriced nature of the clothing is the exact opposite of the cyberpunk spirit of 'high tech, low life'. It's ironic that in real life, techwear is reserved for the corpo villains of the real world

techwear makes Tripp NYC pants seem affordable, fucking seriously I'll pay 100 for high quality cargo pants that even the women's can fit a 2 liter in the pockets of over a jacket that costs well over double that has a built in fanny pack and just adds more pockets without fixing a major issue with most pants in general of very limited pocket size

After watching the video I was floored to find out how small your channel is, if you keep up with this quality of content I’m sure your channel will grow exponentially. If you want the advice of someone who’s wholly unqualified to give advice, I think you should try to incorporate a bit more humor and or more casual parts into the video so it’s less like a spoken essay with pictures. While the essay format is reliable, and is the most efficient way to get across information, it’s not always the most entertaining way to get across information. But as long as a video essay is the backbone of your content, yet subtly it will work fantastically. Cant wait to see you grow!

Ideas inspire Fashion . Techwear is inspired by Nihilism and it is a protest of a Cyberpunk dystopia we live in , it's not just a garment but THE GARMENT OF PROTEST AND REVOLUTION. this is a physical philosophy unfolding right before our eyes. I am a Concept Artist obsesssed with Existentialism and Sci fi Cyberpunk Dystopias and Post apocalypse. Techwear will only evolve

Techwear is like trying to get into 3D animation. U can't afford the schooling and the program so u get the free software on a torrent website via VPN. It turns into an exclusive club for only the rich and lucky. Unless u wanna pull out that credit card. Now I can be butthurt and say "F Erol" and stone island for making their price points high like FOG and rick" or I can go on grailed or a Korean site that sells less better fabric and has the straps to meet my aesthetic. Fabric of the universe, holy grail and machine 5060 all have fair price points. There's always a way around the expensive BS.

Techwear as functional clothing is phenomenal. The good brands tend to be a little behind the times when it comes to advances in the industry but they're very function/purpose driven. Techwear as a fashion is a joke that the fans don't seem to be in on.

Let me know when you find quality hiking gear for less than 100. Especially when you want something that lasts a while. That aside though, you can find even quality pieces for less than 100 on sale and or used sometimes.
