I noticed the engine seemed to be quiet when the pilot chose and louder when chosen. Despite the throttle or speed. Had a hot glow in rear engine more than other planes at the show. It shot straight up toward the sun impressively. I wanted to see this thing done vertical take off and landing. This was the f35 version that could do that right? Wish she had landed and let us all get a photo with it. I suppose that would require security....

No u stop the engine u crash at these low altitudes. To completely stop and restart the engine you have to be at a safe altitude wile also diving down to keep the airflow over the wings with the time to start the engine before hitting the ground
