I’ve just got a Push 1 and it’s great. I got mine for £75 in great condition, which was a steal but they can always be had for £100. That’s 2 to 3 times cheaper than a Push 2 these days. Don’t be put off by it’s age, the Push 1 still works very well with Ableton 11, and can be had for the same price as something like the Akai apkmini but has miles more features.

So, now I've seen the whole series. And I have to come to the conclusion: Whatever I've learnt on my journey into Ableton since I've started with it in May 2023, it is nothing. I know only a few pieces that lie on the surface of this DAW. Of course, it is possible to create such an awesome track, even for somebody like me. But the thing is: How you slapped the mud out of this song is great. And this brings me to the conclusion that I absolutely have to learn much, much more. And I totally agree with you, @LaGiangMusic is a genius when you listen to this track. Maybe it was a good idea to have a second pair of eyes to look at the track. Musically, everything throughout this song was great before you started. But you made this track a real banger. Wow! Thank you for this demonstration in 7 parts. And I liked it HOW you presented it. Just stay a human, this makes it much easier to follow along. And suddenly, my mouse dropped on the Subscribe button.

Oh, yeah, let's create a farting kick and use it in a track called "Butt for good" 🤣 Great video. I heard somewhere: "Music is what you feel". And that sums everything up. You are totally right when you say: Don't look at the spectrum. An amount of Hz is only a damn number.
@111calling Жыл бұрын
The amout knob (dry/wet) is just that, the amount it lowers and raises the threshold, nophase problem (besides the phase shift at cross over) if used this way, sounds great in fact. The problems with the preset are if you use it in paralell... But what maniac would do that? As far as the actual phase shift at the cross overs, this is not a bad thing at all neccisarily. Myself and lots of top mastering engineers sometimes use this at 0% specifically for that sound. It can be a good sound, then tickle in a little OTT on top sometimes. You're really shooting yourself in the foot with this stuff if you worry about that phase sound too much.
@Catandbeats11 ай бұрын
As a mastering engineer I think you are better of with companders like the function in Satin or Type A from audio thing vs ott/multiband of ableton. My foot is fine but thank you for the comment

@@111calling Read it and simply don't think it's the brightest thing to do that's all. To each their own indeed. No hard feelings. Personally I like a discussion so I will dive a little deeper on the filters. This video was made out of utter frustration years ago. Ae you one of the guys at Fluid mastering btw? If so, I am even more intrigued why you would not agree on a compander vs the multiband of ableton.

A cool plus point for Trackspacer (contra some dynamic EQs) is that you can adjust the attack and release time which gives you some creative, rhythmic possibiites. Also, being able to adjust the ratio of the MID/SIDE relationship is a cool idea.

OK. I have not yet succeeded in downloading Ableton...and I don't want to take for granted that I will have to get obsessive about losing original work. I get the concepts etc. What if one is creative absent impressive accidents on a computer, and foresees a social pattern that will ne predominated by message content over musical tricks? I need actual user friendly computation. You know, zero crash potential with the SAME functional artistic complexity; just like DoD nuke computers. Why not? These "crashes" pay off well for someone. Let's stop that with force. Uh. HUH. Or maybe we are just corporate pets. I thought of this at least 37 years ago. If you are really Creative, then if there is a loss of any piece---it may not be duplicable again. Moments in Realtime are other moments later...not the same. WE are not machines.😉
