Just got my Big Water 132PDL! I need to deck it out. Why didn’t you use the rectangular mounting plate already there? Easier reach?

I was going to utilize an existing rod holder to run wires for my fish finder as well but apparently the replacement plates are no longer available as I can't find them on the Navarre website 😢

It's kinda hard to say right now, with David's employer changing his days off, it's kinda screwing up our mojo. I have to work pretty much every weekend. We have to figure out a different game plan. Quit work, call off or take vacation time its what it's come down to.

I would have preferred the front piece of Kydex not to have the wedges cut out. You could have prevented the buckled up wrinkles by heating the Kydex well until it is floppy and stretching the Kydex longitudinally then smoothing out the sides with a wooden roller. But we all have our opinions about what looks good.
@tombosanko3085 Жыл бұрын
On one of these sites they said to use 30lb gorilla tape. DO NOT USE THE GORILLA TAPE. It's permanent and there's a warning on back not to use on polypropylene and polyethylene material. Lucky I was able to pull it off. I saw the warning after I had installed my guard.
@kayakchronicle4838 Жыл бұрын
Wow, good thing you were able to pull it off. Stick to the Kydex, you can mold it and put it where you like and won't harm the kayak. Or if you have the money Berley Pro makes some, never tried them so can't speak of the quality and the kydex can take a hit.
@tombosanko3085 Жыл бұрын
The double back gorilla tape was to hold the kydex onto the kayack. I got some 3m tape to use instead.
@martinsfishing2285 Жыл бұрын
how many millimeters is this kydex sheet?
@kayakchronicle4838 Жыл бұрын
I don't know in mm but its .080 in thick. I fixed link in the video you should be able click it now and get the same one. I think it's perfect thickness for protection and pliability to mold it.

Ok , thanks for helping us out. Some species look very similar, we thought the Vermillion were going to be more red than orange and looking at the identification charts we bought at Turner's we thought they looked more like Canary. Thanks again !

I don't think it will protect as good as the Kydex or last as long. But try it and make a vid, we can all be wrong about it and it holds up.

Great products from Pacific Yak Angler, best upgrade we've done to our Old Towns!
@kayakchronicle48382 жыл бұрын
Yes just makes adding your essential gear like pliers, and fish grips easy and keeps them close and easy to reach. A little pricey but definitely worth it.

We swapped out the stock tracks on our PDL 120's to the aluminum pacific yak angler tracks and couldn't be happier, getting a Bigwater this spring and the upgraded tracks will be the first modification I do. Great video! Cheers

How do you think the bag would fit in the rear area? I use that front hatch to much to have to detach it from the yak to get in.
@kayakchronicle48382 жыл бұрын
There are 4 padeye attachment points on the rear you could use to strap the bag down, but you might need something in the center for support. You could also use carabiners up front instead of using the wire ties I used for quick release.
