Well done Jules as usual Can you please share your experience on the issues and topics below: - Articulation disorders: Difficulty pronouncing certain sounds correctly, like lisps or trouble with "r" sounds. - Stuttering: Disruptions in the flow of speech, including repetitions, prolongations, or blocks. - Language delays: When a child's language skills are not developing at the expected rate for their age. - Autism-related communication challenges: Difficulties with social communication and language use in children on the autism spectrum. - Phonological disorders: Patterns of sound errors that affect entire groups of sounds rather than individual sounds. I think each common issue will make a good KZbin video, I see many people struggling with those issues.

How to interact with children in a way that enhances their autonomy? Children are inherently dependent on their caregiver. How do we avoid making them feel like things simply happen to them, how do we avoid making them feel like they have no freedom or autonomy in a situation, especially when they have to be encouraged to do something that needs to be done? Your tip with the "finish" sign definitely helps. It helps them have some form of "control" over a situation. With this small trick they know that things have a beginning and an end. It makes things predictable for them. 💜 Thank you very much!

Ok but the way I was taught was to mouth your lips like a broad smile, then the tongue naturally touches the top. The most annoying acceptable thing I’ve noticed that’s crept into Australian speech is the use of the lips to pronounce L, which makes the L sound like a W. The lips must not be involved so a broad smile is the go.

Hi I really hope you can help me! I'm not sure if this is normal but when I pronounce the s sound it only comes out of my right side, which creates this lisp but It doesn't sound like any of the speech therapists when they do an example of a lateral lisp (because the airflow only comes out of one side). I was wondering if this is normal and if you think I could correct this? When I pronounce the s sound my tongue touches the roof of my mouth and goes to the left, which is why the airflow comes out of the right. I have tried a few correcting activities and they all help but it's hard to then use the new way of saying the s in a sentence :( I'm 18 and really insecure about this and now that I am at university and have a job and do presentations I get so insecure and just want it gone ahhhhh. In england we can get speech therapists for free on our health service so I am going to try and get a referral!! Thank you
