Most of the cars . list need a motor change and no smog control. They choked the engines so much trying to make standards. A fuel motor needs to breathe.

You obviously did not look at the 73 and 74 SD-455 Trans Am or 56 Firebird SD-455 Formulas made. I bought a 74 Sd-455 new and after some tuning, headers and a 3.72 ring and pinion ran 12.20's on street night at National Trail Raceway in Hebron, Ohio. Still muscle left at Pontiac in 73.

You do realize these are all Pony Cars, not "muscle cars". And these were all built in the Malaise Era and burdgeoning (or bludgeoning, if you will) emissions controls.
@HighHosilver2 күн бұрын
Absolutely, it’s all in the video. However, pony cars are flopped muscle cars, or wannabe muscle cars if you will😉 Thank you for your comment , keep watching and have fun 🤟🏽

@HighHosilver3 күн бұрын
They were ment to be muscle cars and flopped, what’s so hard to understand?
@JayEvans-n8e3 күн бұрын
First of all a muscle car is an intermediate sized car with a large powerful motor that was usually intended for a full size car, so not one of those cars is a muscle car. Secondly and far more importantly not one person ever went to their local dealership and were duped into buying one of those only later to discover they didn't actually buy a muscle car. How insulting to the car buying public of that era. People knew that those cars were all show and no go because that's all there was after 1974 and even starting in 1972 horsepower took a significant down turn due rising gas prices and government regulations.

For the simple fact I don't even think you're old enough to completely understand what these cars even stood for for the fact of the matter is 120 horse V8 and a 1980 Plymouth roadrunner you are f****** wrong does Chevy Monza was a hit everybody on one the mustang 2 they were all over the place everybody on one and you know what yeah these cars were sticker cars because of the emissions you know they weren't so much a disappointment as a fact that they got people from pointing to point b and looked freaking good and all you want to do is bad mouth some beautiful looking cars well why don't you take a look in the mirror and see how ugly you really are yourself man if I was anybody of any of these companies I would sue you just for your stupid opinion

Less be honest 90% of the American cars from built from 1975 to 1985 were severely under powered. And just because a car came with a V8 and was rear wheel drive doesn't necessarily make it a muscle car.😮

My friend back in 1977 bought a used 1967 Firebird 400 HO rag top in red with a white top and he payed next to nothing for it. It was super bad assed. When he got it, it is was in excellent condition but he trashed in in about 2 or 3 months. So sad.

HEY HIGH HO SILVER!!! Why do you not sync up the model year you are talking about with videos and pictures of the car from that year? These videos really piss me off. It is like a crime program talking about the murder weapon is a glock, but showing pictures of a revolver. We wonder if you are STUPID, LAZY or just ignorant and don't really know what you are talking about. DO BETTER!.

Would be interesting to collect the engine codes on all these RA/V’s stamped into the block.In 1970 I purchased a RA/IV crate engine from Seltzer Pontiac in Chicago.They had three of them there.I asked them why they need those there,as I was fearful that they were having mechanical problems with them under warranty.He said that those were being modified for racing with parts that they requisitioned from Pontiac.At that time,I didn’t even know it was a RA/IV until I removed the massive cast iron headers in order to set it into the engine mounts of a ‘64 GTO.Those huge round exhaust ports triggered me to do some research,as I was not familiar with such a Pontiac thing.Engine code on my block was WH.That’s when I realized that the dealer was probably making RA/V’s out of RA/IV’s with those factory parts.Awesome engine,you can get aftermarket in different displacements now.

Listing 0-60 times and top speeds is a waste of time because there are too many variables and most serious street racers built their cars up anyway so some magazine time is meaningless.

I had a 1970 1/2 it had the 455 h. o. decal on the shaker scoop. Like an idiot I repainted the car silver put mags with big tires in the back and had a plastics company recreate the shaker hood in Plexiglas smoke tint. I know now that was stupid but back then very few kept things original.

Wow, half way pretty good, BUT IT WOULD"VE BEEN NICE IF YOU KEPT THE CARS CORRECT FOR EACH YEAR YOU WERE TALKING ABOUT !!!! and there was also a few other little things wrong too, but the biggest one was that Pontiac NEVER built a 69' R/A V Trans Am !!!! Really would be nice to see whoever does these video's would actually take the time and do the research on what it is that they're going to make a video about before they do them !!!!!!!
