Jessica has a wonderful voice and is talented on her own. Her insecurities might as well have been written right smack on her forhead. Poor girl. She really does have a wonderful voice. That said, is she trying to impersonate Jewel her? It kind of feels that way. It equally makes me cringe out of embarrassment for her as it does break my heart that she seemed as if she didn't "measure up" in some way. She is incredibly gorgeous and has a wonderfully beautiful voice of her own. I hate that her insecurities got the the best of her. That being said, Jewel has just proved that she not just a pretty face with a beautiful voice and unique style of singing but also that she incredibly kind. The "full package." So, can we all agree that the self control a person would have to have to not slink away and act like you have amnesia or something, to distance yourself from whatever the hell just happened? I would probably just lay down and play dead. For real, though, watching Jessica's performance gave me that icky feeling you get when you watch someone do something incredibly uncomfortable and awkward in public... kind of like humiliation by proxy or something. It's just... so.... icky! Cringy just isn't a powerful enough word for the amount of humiliation I felt for the poor lady. Again, Jewel is a saint and must be incredibly kind to have not only stayed on stage and perform alongside her but also, it takes an incredible amount of talent and compassion to proceed to match Jessica's energy as well as adjust her own mannerisms so that Jessica didn't look quite as ridiculous as she would have if it weren't for Jewel's compassion and empathy. I will admit, if I don't watch the video and simply listen, they do harmonize well. It definitely sounds better than Jessica looks. 😍 I genuinely hope that Jessica's self-esteem has improved because she really is just as equally amazing as Jewel. I feel like Nick's ego and his redicuous desire to outshine her broke her down. She deserved/deserves better. Jewel and Jessica are equally beautiful talented women who harmonize beautifully! Period!
