I live in OKC with my service dog, I've been trying to get diagnosed with POTS for so long so I can receive treatment, I also have fibromyalgia. Please let me know if there are any doctors you would recommend. I've been trying since I was 14 to get help, I'm almost 19 now. My fainting has been getting worse and my heart rate stays high, I'm afraid that I will need a cane soon. I have to sit on the gross floor when I get dizzy or else I will fall. Please help!

@@TheServiceDogDiaries No, my cardiologist is horrible, he's only done an eco on my heart and made me wear a heart monitor. Both came back completely normal of course. I know two other people with self diagnosed POTS because they can't find a good doctor here either.

I would request a tilt table because. If it’s not pots or another form of Dysautonomia it could be something else. Call the cardiovascular clinic on quail springs park way and request doctor Marcus smith he is a specialist and is one of the leading doctors in Dysautonomia and he will be able to tell you if u have it. It will need to be a request from ur primary or u might be able to call his office and get an appointment. Good luck I hope you get answers.

@@TheServiceDogDiaries Thank you so much! My primary doctor thinks I have it too, she's been fighting with my cardiologist for a diagnoses but he refuses to give me one. I'll let you know how it goes!

So sorry to hear this, but it sounds like she’s enjoying being a pet right now and that you’re making the best of vision for it which is good. If you don’t mind me asking why when’s the surgery is done and she’s recovered have you not planned to work her is just medical alert and not mobility. That way would be less stress on her joints and bones but she could still help ensure your safety went out in public by letting you know before you faint and responding to your conditions. Best of luck with the new puppy, are they getting along well?

@@asecretcourtofcrowsandcloc4084 so she also has osteoarthritis and it’s progressive and she has continuous fluid build up around knee and the less she has walks around the quicker the fluid decreases

Well that’s absolutely terrible that they broke your wheelchair, but glad it got fixed. Looks like you had fun on your school trip which is great and congratulations on you and your teammates winning the competition. Did you teach Lolla to go to the bathroom so you can wipe her paws before she goes on the furniture? If so any tips on how to do that would be greatly appreciated I would love for my SD to learn that.

We definitely need more buttons to push open the door, especially if you have a service dog or a white cane especially if you’re holding onto other stuff and you can’t push open the door. Those buttons are really helpful for me.

If you have a service dog, you could make a handle pull with a hook on one end to hook to doors handles - Then your service dog can grab it to pull the door open for you.
