Oh how I wish I met Ed. I've heard many stories of what a kind man he was. I found Ed on the George Wettling album linked below around 1974. That's all I knew until the internet and newsgroups. Now I have hundreds of songs with Ed. Along with The Band and The Beatles, Ed is my all-time favorite musician. One album to take on desert island, this might be it. It is astoundingly good. I'm sure I've listened to it over 1000 times, every note is embedded in my brain. THE GREATEST RECORD OF ALL TIME: kzbin.info/www/bejne/pl63o3mAiduikJI

It's arguably one of the greatest Jazz-Funk compositions of all time. The sheer ordacity to be this good in its overall intelligence is other worldly. Hat's off. If Herbie Hancock was around with this composition when European musical composers were making the greatest classical music compositions, then it would be very interesting to see where this would fit. Strings, brass or no strings, brass, this is great!!

Have listened to this many times as I never get tired of the way the instruments curl around each other. All perfect, all effervescent and audibly of importance in the piece. Thanks so much to the uploader. One small point, though, are other people hearing a small glitch about 3:11 or is it my overloaded PC causing this?

Les 2 soleils du jazz cool. Mulligan et Getz. J’écoute ce morceau depuis 40 ans et si je joue du saxo ténor c’est à cause de ce dialogue parfait. Gratitude éternelle.

Absolutely love this, not only great music but brings memories alive; especially as Sandy Brown was playing at my very first visit to a London Jazz Club when I was 18 years old. Marvellous.

The line-up stated above is largely INCORRECT! Recorded on 5 March 1957, I have a W/L test pressing for the first Pye Nixa release from which 'Go Ghana' originates. The paper sleeve is annotated as follows: Sandy Brown (clt), Al Fairweather (tpt), Jeremy French (trmb), William 'Diz' Disley (gtr/bjo), Ian Armit (pno), Tim Mahn (dbl bs) and Graham Burbidge (dr).
