A lot of women seriously exaggerate and use menstrual cramps and self-diagnosed PMS to act up. My parents had four girls and none of us did this. I even had a friend comment that he “couldn’t tell” when I was on my period because I acted normal. I know that shifts in hormones can seriously affect some women but it’s not the case for the majority. It’s often just an excuse to be a witch and be like, “lol it’s my period sowwy!” I know people like this that claim to have PMS but funnily enough, they know who they can and can’t mess with and they also know to control themselves at work/school because “I’m on period” won’t get you out of trouble when you cause problems anywhere else outside the home. This type of behavior just feeds into misogynistic beliefs that women are too hormonal, emotional, and impulsive to be effective leaders in any capacity besides motherhood. But then women who act up during their periods have the audacity to get offended when men say stuff like that even though they directly contribute to those beliefs. Get it together and stop acting like toddlers. If your cramps, bleeding, or hormonal changes are THAT bad, get some prescription meds.
