Now that Akira Toriyama has sadly been sent to the Next Dimension, this song SLAPS HOT FIRE TWICE AS HARD!!! Gotta thank the author for his timeless contribution here. Unfortunately i might not be alive long enough to see ANY of his works, including the Dragon Ball franchise, be unleashed into the public domain.

It certainly could have helped the Saturn if they actually had a mainline sonic game out for it, but I don't know if that alone would have been enough considering all the other problems SOA was having with the Saturn thanks to SOJ and all of their bullshit decisions.

Rewatching the series, reminds me how much the og was lighthearted. I miss that. I hope Daima delivers that. Modern DB just bores me with constant bad guys wanting to destroy or rule the world. Just give me an exciting new adventure again.

I'm definitely curious about the direction Daima will go, and am hoping that if they're going through the trouble of making it a plot point that everybody is turned young again, it doesn't just wind up being some dumb gimmick with no significant payoff.

Just heard the news about Akira Toriyama's unfortunate passing. I could NOT believe my eyes when I saw the tweet that announced his unfortunate death. Had to do a double take to make sure it wasn't bullshit. His work has had a huge influential in the world of anime, especially in the west given that Dragon Ball was what helped anime became so mainstream in the west. RIP Akira Toriyama 1955-2024 ;~;
